Cats don't tend to like being picked up by strange humans, and Luna was no exception. Still. There was something about this particular human that was attracting her attention. You know, aside from the fact that this girl was picking her up and staring right at her with the same kind of focus one might a word search.
For one thing, she was rather smartly dressed. Gave off a very prim and proper first impression. Certainly a change from Usagi, and one that Luna appreciated. She had long dark hair and those eyes seemed to sparkle with a mysterious fire.
"Meow?" Luna said. The girl didn't say anything back. Instead she just reached into her pocket, pulled something out and slapped it on Luna's - "Yoooooooowl!"
"Evil spirit, begone from this adorable kitty - I mean, helpless feline!"
Well, that certainly wasn't what she'd been expecting. It felt like her soul had been set on fire. Luna patted at her forehead and tried to blink through it, but more importantly was getting the hell away from this girl in case she tried that again!
"I still sense something strange about that cat," the girl pondered aloud. She looked up, and Luna followed her gaze to a pair of rather terrifying-looking crows. Oh. Oh dear. Those were rather, ahem, nasty looking creatures, weren't they? And Luna had the sense they were watching her very keenly. "I wonder if it knows anything about those flowers that have been arriving at school... I am certain that radio show is somehow to blame for it! Toying with the hearts of young maidens. Despicable! Phobos! Deimos! Keep an eye on that cat."
Now. Hold on a second. Luna was actually a pretty smart cat when you got right down to it. Those names were immediately familiar to her, and why shouldn't they be? Phobos and Deimos were moons of the planet Mars. Could it be? Had random chance prodded fate towards this encounter? The girl certainly seemed to have some sort of supernatural sensitivity already, which could be a form of her true power leaking through.
Unfortunately, there were too many people around to have any kind of actual conversation with the girl for now. Which meant that Luna would have to try to find Usagi and get her to -
"The Mysterious Masked Usagi!"
"And the Mysterious Masked Mamoru!"
"Have saved the day again!"
Ever see a cat facepalm? It's not exactly a dignified expression. Looking at those two humans and the expression in their eyes, she sincerely doubted she could get either of their attention before they began copulation, and come to think of it the risk of that outcome much outweighed the benefit. It was time for her to have a little word with this mystery girl by herself, and hope she didn't get fried again. Or, looking at the birds, pecked to death.

"Oh no, I'll be late!" Naru yelled, suddenly sitting up from a state of absolute sleep. Except she hadn't woken up in her own room at all. It was some sort of... Well, she didn't know where she was exactly. A break room? She quickly stood up, smoothed down her clothes, walked towards the door, pulled it open and then very quickly closed it again after seeing what was just outside.
Yeah, no. Forget that. This room was plenty nice. Comfortable place to stay and relax. No sign of Morga, and she was probably being held against her will by some kind of evil energy-sucking monster, but still! Definitely a better option to wait in here than go out there.
She didn't have to wait long, as it happened. That handsome guy from before walked in, all smiles and charm. He even bowed towards her in a rather respectful manner. Which was setting her off quite a bit.
"Ah, you're awake," he said. "I do hope you are finding your stay comfortable."
"I could do with a three-foot teddy bear," Naru sarcastically said. However, funny thing. The strange man sort of shuffled in place, snapped his fingers and there was a three-foot teddy bear in the corner.
Oh boy. Oh boy oh boy. He really was a devil in disguise! After a moment's thought Naru cursed her luck; she should have asked for freedom. Or a tank. And the skills to pilot one. Okay, maybe a tank wouldn't have been a good idea but she could have asked for something actually useful!
"Now that I've helped you," he said, and the way he put emphasis on the word "help" was a little bit weird. "Perhaps you could help me? I was wondering about that peculiar pendant you brought with you."
"Sorry, not talking," Naru sniffed. "Especially not to some evil energy-sucking demon!"
"Evil?" the man asked, "I think you have the wrong idea about us. We are simply struggling for our survival the only way we know how. Perhaps if I were to... help... you with something else you might reconsider your position?"
"Sure you are," Naru rolled her eyes. Hold on. That funny way he was saying "help"... The very obvious bulge in his trousers he was trying to hide and failing miserably at. Was it possible that the pendant had still worked on him? "My shoulders are a little stiff," she said. He was at her side in a second and oh my god he really was magic. "And after this I could do with a foot rub."
"Of course," he said. You know what? When he wasn't trying to do that whole evil thing, this guy was actually kinda cute. "And please, call me Jedite."
- Luna talks to Rei and somehow convinces her she's on the level about this Sailor Mars thing.
- Luna talks to Rei, gets another ofuda for her trouble.
- Usagi and Mamoru's date continues.
- Meanwhile, Morga works to retrieve the pendant.
- Naru continues preying on Jedite's "love to help her".
- Something else
Go Sailor Mars, dignified against Perviness :P
