Thread Voting: Open Until 6th May
Starting from this week I'm adding an extra step to the process of calculating votes. Note that I'm doing this after the usual steps, but adding this step out of concern that priority points are getting a wee bit too high.
Namely: After I've calculated the top vote winner, and then the top priority vote winner, for any thread that has over 100 points I do the following.
Subtract priority points until it hits 100. Then add the same number to the votes.
So, if a thread has 105 priority then I subtract five and add those five onto the regular vote totals. I feel that this should help keep things under control, as there's already a cutoff point for regular vote totals. Also, if a thread is sufficiently popular this should help it come up a little bit quicker in future. I'll start implementing it this coming week, so please keep it in mind going forward.
