And to be honest? I'm kind of hoping that this time around, something other than Rosario follows Love Hina. Both of the last times Love Hina won, Rosario took the following week. It might be nice to mix things up a bit, you know?

Haruhi: The SOS Brigade has now been formed, with a member that wasn't even there originally! A fugitive from the mysterious Britannian Empire prompts Haruhi Suzumiya to investigate further. But it looks like there might be an invasion soon!
Neon Genesis Evangelion: One Angel down, but several more to go. Shinji moves in with Misato, Rei and three beautiful (if quirky) bodyguards. Then he has a revelation that he's not behaving like the hero he should be... Just in time for another Angel to attack!
Ranma 1/2: It's a trying first day of school for Ranma Saotome. Especially since he's starting getting visions of the future at the oddest times. In fact, it seems to happen whenever he sees a little more of Akane than he ought to... What's worse is when Kuno gets possessed by a monster that can manipulate the wind!
Rosario + Vampire: Tsukune has decided to use his new gift to make things better for everyone at this strange academy. Especially him and his childhood love with whom he has recently been reunited, Moka. Discussion of Latest Update
To begin with, it seems likely that Keitaro would have to recruit another of the girls at Hinata into the magical girl team he seems to be building. Taking a look at the manga (which I'm basing this on), the next three chapters are: A chapter where Keitaro tries studying with Naru, and there is an incident when Keitaro is forced to hide under her table. Then a chapter about Shinobu's birthday and everyone forgetting until Keitaro reminds everyone. Then a chapter where Motoko is sick but doesn't realise it, making her think that she's in love with Keitaro.
It's way too soon to bring Naru in on this. What does everyone else think?
And as for Kyon's desire... I'm thinking that he might want something really simple for once. Something small. Maybe an object of some sort? Nothing particularly supernatural, but it strikes me that is the kind of thing a lot of people probably spend most of their desires on.
As a suggestion for if Sailor Moon were to follow after Love Hina, could Keitaro's wish be to be able to make peace with the various monsters that are attacking the city? Thus Sailor Moon finds a way to convert some of the Monsters of the Week and/or turn them human so that they can join/want to join her harem. (Under certain situations; i.e. they have to be weakened to a certain degree, can't be TOO powerful to begin with and Sailor Moon must kiss them in order to purify them...)

As for Kyon's wish, desires not uncommon for an average highschooler I think would be:

Spending money.
The newest videogame.
A piece of one's favorite food/dessert.
A day off from classes (which would make sense for Kyon to give him time to figure out what is happening to him and hang out with his new girlfriend).
A car.
A less annoying/more mature little sister...
Well, that last one would certainly have interesting effects on Kanako, I'm sure. Especially with the cube being what it is.

ReplyDeleteI agree. As of next week, we're changing how this is done. If someone is going to so blatantly cheat like that, it's obviously necessary. I'm disappointed in whoever did this. I'll take suggestions for how better to take votes during the week, but right now my thoughts lead towards comments within a tainted cube post.
ReplyDeleteSo I had a few thoughts about the next episode, and would like to run the most significant idea by everyone. Namely: Shinobu is the next magical girl, but there's a twist.
ReplyDeleteShinobu is physically replaced by her future self, who has more experience of using her power and is actively attempting to seduce Keitaro. For various reasons, she's completely unable to reveal information about the future, but does indicate she's aware of Keitaro's Hinatascience. Which is why Shinobu will be unable to transform while on Hinata grounds: Since present day Shinobu has no knowledge of the future, Keitaro will remain as oblivious as herself.
Any thoughts on that?
I like that idea, and it plays off the time traveler from Haruhi rather well. Maybe expand it so Future Shinobu is just a bit manipulative to keep things going on the right track. Though if Kitsune finds out about this she'd bug the crap out of Shinobu for lottery tickest or other ways to an easy life.
