Love Hina: Keitaro finds he has the power to make magical girls, a revelation which unexpectedly complicates his relationship with Naru!
Neon Genesis Evangelion: One Angel down, but several more to go. Shinji moves in with Misato, Rei and three beautiful (if quirky) bodyguards. Then he has a revelation that he's not behaving like the hero he should be... Just in time for another Angel to attack!
Ranma 1/2: It's a trying first day of school for Ranma Saotome. Especially since he's starting getting visions of the future at the oddest times. In fact, it seems to happen whenever he sees a little more of Akane than he ought to... What's worse is when Kuno gets possessed by a monster that can manipulate the wind!
Rosario + Vampire: Tsukune has decided to use his new gift to make things better for everyone at this strange academy. Especially him and his childhood love with whom he has recently been reunited, Moka. However, first they had to tangle with a dangerous succubus, who learns of his power and plots to use it for her own ends! Fortunately, Kurumu's charm is no match for Tsukune's, and he acquires a new ally in his uphill struggle!
Sailor Moon: Sailor Mars joins the team! But, this Rei is a bit different to how she usually is...
Urusei Yatsura: Poor Ataru's been having a rough time of it lately, and he's dreading the inevitable return of Lum. With all the attention he's getting, one might think it would be easy for him to form a harem, but it's a little too much for him to handle. Things are about to become even more complicated when he seemingly spontaneously transforms into a really cute girl.

Discussion of Latest Update
Leading off from Urusei Yatsura, eh? Well, my first instinct was to go with Ataru's fleeting desire that more girls dress up like Lum. Which I admit, might be rather a lot of fun for a Haruhi post, but I am wondering if anyone else has any particularly interesting ideas.
Meanwhile, it will probably wind up being centred around how a different version of Britannia will behave and the lead up to an invasion probably? Two new characters will also be introduced to the setup, and I don't think anyone except Cross C will be likely to guess who they are.
So what are your thoughts?
"Two new characters to the setup"? Do you mean introducing other characters from one of the eight present series who haven't appeared yet in their stories or do you mean having protagonists from another universe get a Cube of their own and join in?
ReplyDeleteAs for Ataru's wish... That Lum(/the eccentric babe clinging to his arm) couldn't shock/hurt him? That she was willing to have an open relationship with him? That he knew why his dick got so big? That he could turn off/control her powers?
Perhaps substitute Lum with "alien girlfriend" and see the impact on Yuki.

Well, they're not getting a cube, no. They're characters from somewhere else entirely that... Really, probably shouldn't be here at all, but the idea is so interesting that I can't really resist it. Let's just say there's going to be a new member of the SOS Brigade, and she's going to - Well, you'll see!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, regarding the Lum style dress code. A suggestion that has been given to me elsewhere involved it basically working like an infection. Those infected don't think their dress style is odd at all, and instead think that those uninfected are the ones behaving weirdly. Haruhi is initially very interested in this, until she eventually sucumbs as well. Not that Kyon is complaining too much, because it's quite an enjoyable sight, but it is making him start to get a little paranoid about whatever's up with him at the moment.
And we've not really seen the organisation's reaction to all of this yet. Probably for the best. I'm just trying to figure out which beat in the story to end this chapter on, for the sake of planning around and foreshadowing it.
Question, what would be the end desires of Kyon after this?
