Tainted Cube Voting Closed: New Poll will begin shortly

This week was outright fascinating to behold in action. It looked very much like Haruhi had a very strong lead at the start, but was rapidly overtaken by Code Geass around the middle. From there, it was pretty obvious what the winner would be.

Code Geass
  8 (47%)
Haruhi Suzumiya
  5 (29%)
Ranma 1/2
  3 (17%)
Sailor Moon
  0 (0%)
Urusei Yatsura
  1 (5%)

Where are they now?
Haruhi Suzumiya: Kyon has just met Haruhi for the first time (from his perspective, but let's not get into the John Smith mess quite yet).

Love Hina: Keitaro has been more or less accepted by the girls as the dorm manager, thanks in large part to his newfound talent for knowing everything happening within Hinata House. But he's also discovered his connection to the other seven through that same ability.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji is about to pilot for the first time, but is a very different person than the Shinji we are used to.

Ranma 1/2: Kasumi has become the Warrior of Love and Beauty, Sailor V! It is her duty to purify those possessed by monsters that take advantage of a person's sexual hangups to control them. Her very first encounter involves her youngest sister, Akane, who is purified of her hatred of immature perverted boys alongside the monster. Upon recovery, Akane and Ranma are engaged.

Rosario + Vampire: Tsukune meets Inner Moka for the first time, and learns that Moka was a girl he was friends with when they were young. As well, he realises that he has the strange power to make people believe whatever he tells them. These convince him to stay at this dangerous academy.

Sailor Moon: Usagi had just saved Naru in her first night as Sailor Moon.

Urusei Yatsura: Ataru was on his way home. On arriving he will find out about the aliens and the tag race.

Removed From the Poll
Code Geass won this week quite handily.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Returned to the poll
Love Hina: 1
Rosario + Vampire: 2
Code Geass: 3

Discussion of Latest Update
Code Geass has the potential to be tricky, particularly for where it is in the narrative. I mean, it's not like I can easily make the battle of Shinjuku Ghetto perverted in any manner, right?

Well, obviously not. I expect much of that will play out like canon, requiring very little actual attention from me. What's more likely to draw the eye is Lelouch and his Geass. You see, I realised that it's likely the cube will alter its mechanism in some way, particularly if I go with the "know more about my power" option.

From there I can see two possibilities, but I expect you can suggest others.
1: When the victim of Geass obeys the command, they climax.
2: When the victim of Geass obeys the command, they gain a related fetish.

As far as the options go, one must consider what Lelouch wants in general. Broadly, his goals are:

1: Bring down Britannia.
2: Restore his sister's health, ensure her safety.
3: Free Japan.
4: Discover what happened to his mother, and exact revenge.
5: Make a better world for his sister.

Since that is five, some paraphrasing of those is likely to wind up being the options for next week. If this helps you vote accordingly, then go for it.

(Though I would say? Option four there would come into play the same week Evangelion gets added back to the poll. And no. That is not encouragement to go for NGE. Do whatever you think works best).

  1. I can see number four working well with Ranma as well, after all at this point Genma has told Ranma that his mom is dead.

As for pervert powers for our natural mind controller. I want to be stronger could let him Geass people more than once, or could let him control people with his voice or something similar.

  2. We should also remember that in canon Lelouch isn't a very physical person. Even Euphie outruns him on foot.
