Under normal conditions Ami Mizuno would not initiate conversation with a stranger unless circumstances dictated it absolutely necessary. For example, if she'd noticed they had dropped something and she was handing it back to them. In point of fact she would be quite content to sit back and let Usagi Tsukino be, allow the prettier girls and boys to lavish attention on her while she mooned from afar. This was a girl who was allergic to love letters. Do you really and truly believe she had it in her to flirt with someone?
"Usagi! There's this girl in the next class that I've liked for weeks. Do you have any advice?"
"Eh? Well..." Usagi tilted her head. "Have you tried talking with her? Maybe introduce yourself, tell her you'd like to get to know her a little better. The worst thing you can do is sit and watch. The worst that can happen is she's not interested, but then you can move on. If you don't tell her your feelings then you'll never even have that."
Such sage advice! It spoke to Ami's soul, like she'd been shot in the heart by the arrow of love. Until you try, you cannot succeed. Even if you fail then it can be its own reward. Amazing. Simply amazing! Without even meaning to Usagi had inspired Ami to take a step that she would never normally even try: She tapped the side of her head and looked again towards her target.
Some people might flirt with beauty. Others with natural charisma. But Ami Mizuno was going to flirt with her most potent weapon of all: Her blinding intelligence.

Ah, this was so exhausting. Emotionally. Weirdly she wasn't feeling physically tired, like, at all. The attention, the adoration, the whole somehow knowing a person's whole deal just by looking at them... Was this how a celebrity lives? Not even that, Royalty? She felt like a Princess but it wasn't nearly as fun as she was thinking. If only there was some handsome Prince Charming out there for her, she could at least enjoy the whirlwind romance.
As it was, Usagi stumbled off to her locker. Mind awhirl with thoughts of romance and imagining herself dancing in a ball, a good looking man in a suit opposite of her. Ah, that would be wonderful.
People she walked past said hello, specifically to her. She tried not to look at them, but when she did she'd find herself suddenly saying stuff that sounded pretty random to her but seemed to light up a fire under the person she was talking to. After a while it kind of blended together a bit, especially since she wasn't paying any real attention to it right now. One thing hadn't changed about Usagi, at least. She was still a romantic at heart.
The girl reached her locker, sighed (a drama club student walking by at that moment suddenly had a moment of inspiration for how to play the role she was stuck on after hearing that sigh) and went to open up her locker. Huh, for some reason the door was jamming a little. Great. Exactly what she needed. How was she supposed to be class president when she can't even get the locker on her door open - Oh, there we go!
The next thing Usagi knew she saw white. A lot of white. Like it was snowing. Except that this wasn't snow and she was indoors and it felt an awful lot like paper. Enough paper that a revive spell would bring a giant oak tree down upon her body. Enough paper that sci-fi geeks would wonder if the locker was dimensionally transcendental. Enough paper that some may wonder if her locker wasn’t secretly a depository for the post office.
"Oh, gosh! Are you alright?"
“Ehh? I think?” Usagi said, taking a few seconds to identify the voice as one of her classmates. After a few heartbeats of struggling, she managed to free enough of her head to see a shock of blue hair. Right, that was Ami, the girl who was the perpetual number 1 in everything academic related within their school. Oh, this was quite embarrassing, to be seen in this situation, literally drowning under a wave of letters.
The genius leaned down and offered up a hand, hauling Usagi up to her feet. The girl looked nervous for some reason. Tapping at the side of her head, and all of a sudden Usagi felt a really weirdly powerful connection to this girl.
What Usagi didn't know was that the interface Ami was using was giving her a list of options. Things to say rather than the kind of options one might find at the end of an addventure episode. Feeding her lines that were calculated to have a positive effect on their relationship. Of course humans were tricky at the best of times, so even the incredible technology of ancient Mercury couldn’t exactly say what was best when dealing with the mess that was the human mind. So instead trying to narrow it down to the “best” options it could find.
"Did someone prank your locker?" Ami asked, though she could hardly imagine anyone doing that. The sheer idea of harming or annoying Usagi sounded utterly alien to her somehow. Yet it was also the most effective way of gaining the blonde girl’s interest, simply because the line lacked any of the overt admiration of fawning that she had been dealing with today.
"Oh, no!" Usagi said, nervously laughing. Meanwhile, a music teacher was inspired to write a beautiful piano ballad of the like that hadn't been seen since Bach. Ami meanwhile had to resist sighing like a lovesick puppy at the sight, the interface warning her in big red letters to keep looking neutral with a touch of amusement. God, she wished she had joined the acting club back when they had asked her earlier this year. But she had been too embarrassed and shy to even consider it.
Usagi picked up a letter and flipped it open. "Urgh... These are all love letters. Oh gosh, this poem is pretty steamy.” Then she blinked and reread the last line. “But the part about my breasts being like ripe melons is kind of odd..”
"Love letters?" Ami asked. She turned her attention to the envelopes right about then. Ah. As she had been focusing so intensely on Usagi, she hadn't scanned them at all. They were, indeed, entirely love letters.
At the same instant that Ami realised this, her face turned bright red. Not from blushing. No, no. If only it was a blush. Instead a rash broke out. A very nasty, itchy rash all over her face.
"Uh... What does resplendent mean?" Usagi asked. Her head tilted up, and then she saw Ami wobbling on her feet. "Are you alright?"
"Stupendous," Ami answered, attempted to step back - and instead fell forward while gurgling unintelligibly. She'd never been near this many love letters at once before! Fortunately Usagi caught her before she fell, though she very nearly fell over too. Which would have been bad, because she would have dropped right into a sea of the very thing that was making her sick.
"Uwah!" Usagi yelped. "Out of my way! This girl needs taken to the nurse's office, stat!"
Oh no, how terrible! For Usagi to see her in this state, it was unthinkable! Ah, but such thoughts could be set aside by the realisation that she was being carried along the corridor by the first and only person she had ever found so alluring.
"Love...letters..." Ami burbled. "Allergic!"
Usagi tossed the letter she still had in her hand away as if it had caught fire. "I'm so, so sorry!" Usagi said. "Ohhh, this day has been getting worse and worse. Now I've even got a really cute genius sick because people won't leave me alone!"
'She - She thinks I'm cute!' Yipee! Ami started laughing, overcome by the euphoria of being praised so. Ah, she could form a poem of her own in her mind, praising Usagi's kindness and radiance.
What she didn’t notice was that a number of students had heard the blonde girl’s words as she passed them. And quickly they began to whisper, not a single voice disagreeing with her statement. Rather they were beginning to talk about how they were so surprised to not have noticed Ami’s cuteness and appeal before. Soon the word spread throughout the whole school, details about the exact thing Usagi had said becoming less clear and more exaggerated. This would have consequences, amusing consequences.
But for now, let us follow these two a little further.

The nurse's office was empty. As in, no students and no nurse either. Usagi helped Ami along to the nearest bed. Her breathing was back to normal now. But there was still that rash.
"Ointment," Ami said. The girl was pointing at a cupboard. A closed cupboard at that. Oh, where did the nurse put the key? "Oh, it's on the back of the door. The one with the green sticker."
Sure enough, there was a keychain on the back of the door. A bunch of them that looked pretty similar, with different coloured stickers on them. And the green one unlocked the cupboard. "You've been here a couple times, then?"
"First time here..." Ami said to her feet.
“Huh, you got good eyes then.” Usagi said, surprised that the blue haired genius had managed to find the correct key so easily. Wow, she must be really smart to figure out something like that. Of course, she missed that Ami was practically swooning over being complimented by Usagi. "Here you go, here's the ointment."
"Th-thank you," Ami mumbled. She took the ointment and closed off the bed from view, so she could strip down without anyone walking in to see her naked. But, just to be safe, she had her fancy new interface calculate the best possible approach to take. "Um, could you please stay with me in case I have another attack?" Ami asked.
“Of course, I wouldn’t leave you be after something awful like that.” Usagi said even as she looked around the room, having never been in the sick room before today. Well, there was that saying that idiots don’t get sick, right? “I hope you won’t get any scars. I would feel so bad if my carelessness damaged a pretty girl’s face.” The twin-tailed student continued, biting her lower lip in slight worry. Oh, that would certainly be awful.
Ami was very grateful about the attention, even if she wasn't sure about how this increased the odds of her seducing Usagi. She hadn't any kind of handle on that kind of social interaction except in a purely theoretical sense, but she knew that when social studies came to it then 'theoretical' didn't mean much at all.
“I-I am fine, don’t worry about it. This goes away after a while if I just treat it right.” She mumbled, trying to distract herself from the embarrassment of the whole situation.
Oh well. Not much else for it. She unhooked her bra and let it fall to the bed. Then reached for the ointment and tapped the side of her head to check what it recommended she do next.
It recommended that she start with her breasts.
Gulping nervously, Ami took a big dollop of ointment and began to rub it on her chest. Glancing nervously over at Usagi, she was doing a rather poor job of pretending not to look and compare to herself. They were about the same size. Maybe Usagi's were slightly bigger. Not that it mattered. The whole was far superior to the sum of its parts.
Meanwhile, thoughts of romance and sex were pretty far from Usagi's mind. Well, aside from her moment considering and comparing their bust sizes. That love letter which had praised her chest was still a touch on her mind, and she couldn’t help but wonder why anyone thought her breasts were like melons. They weren’t that big, right? And certainly not that round, and she was pretty sure they didn’t taste like melons..
Anyway! Ami was a genius, but shy. Cripplingly shy. She suffers from some kind of social anxiety, which might explain the 'allergy' to love letters. She probably had very few if any friends, which was absolutely unacceptable. Everyone should have friends, people that they could be true to themselves. Where you can joke around and do dumb stuff without feeling bad about yourself! So it was rather obvious to Usagi what she had to do, use her new inexplicable ability to help the genius student over her social anxiety and become her friend.
The fact that this would give her a friend who was also a genius that aced every single non-gym test that came her way was a distant consideration, but could also be counted as a bonus. After all, she just couldn’t bring herself to abuse her newfound charisma and ability to make anyone agree to anything to make the teachers give her straight As for everything. And if there was anyone who could teach her math, it had to be a genius, right?
"I'm really sorry about setting off your love letter allergies," Usagi said.
"Oh no, it's not your fault," Ami said. Um... According to her analytical tool the best thing for her to do right now would be to rub underneath her breasts and lean back. Eh?! She couldn't do something so - so brazen! Even alone, she'd struggle -
"As class president I should be more careful," Usagi nodded. Ami leaned back and thrust out her breasts like her tool had suggested. Hearing that single statement had motivated her forward! Then slowly began to massage the underside of her breasts and applying the ointment there too. Hmm.. that actually felt kind of nice, the slightly cold cream on her underbust produced an almost tingly feel.
For the first time since this had started Usagi was starting to feel a little hot under the collar. It had taken her until then to realise she was alone in the nurse's office with a cute naked girl rubbing cream on her body. Oh, no there was nothing naughty about the situation at all! This was all perfectly normal. And they were both girls, so there was no reason to be embarrassed in the first place!
"Ahem!" Usagi coughed. "A-as I was saying!" Quit staring! You've seen this kind of thing in the girl's locker room all the time. "To make it up to you, is there anything I can do to help you out?"
"T-To start with, you could rub some ointment on my b-back," Ami suggested, barely believing she had the bravery to say that kind of remark aloud. Usagi nodded, feeling a little grateful that she wouldn't accidentally wind up staring at Ami's boobs any more. She settled into position behind the blue haired genius and began to rub.
Wow, her skin was soft. Even with this rash, it was so delicate and nice feeling. No other way to put it.
"There is one thing," Ami said while leaning over to rub her thighs. Oof! She almost pulled Usagi over with that sudden move! "Um... C-could you give me some romantic advice?"
Ah! What was this interface making her say now?! This was completely humiliating! Especially with Usagi's touch giving her so much inspiration, so many ideas flowing into her head over and over and over. Ideas to explore, things to experiment with. Things that Ami would never have dared to dream of before!
To Usagi, this was a promising sign. Ami clearly wanted to come out of her shell already. All she needed was the bravery to do it. So she smiled, and her smile was so warm that Ami could feel it without seeing it, almost like she was drinking a warm chocolate after having been out in the cold winter. It gave her a sense of peace and satisfaction, and somehow made her feel like it was fine to do whatever she wanted without worrying all the time.
Even so, she wasn't quite ready to say what the interface wanted her to say. It was a step too far -
"Sure. What are friends for?"
Until Usagi pushed her over the edge yet again.
"I've never kissed anyone before," Ami admitted. "Could you... help me practise?"
Oh, she already had someone she wanted to prepare for? To Usagi, there was no question, after all how could she ever say no to such a heartfelt plea? Especially when she'd already promised to help out. It would be kind of awkward if she backed out now!
“Of course, leave it all to me!”
- Cue interruption. The nurse returns.
- You really think it'll stop at kissing? Dream on.
- It stays chaste... for now.
- Meanwhile, another Senshi's 'power' is awakening.
- Something else
Oooh, wonderful wonderful stuff. Lots of good options, too... I want to vote against 2, though, AMi's torture is too cute/funny to give up already. Eh, I think 3 or 4, depending on whether you want to go deep or wide first.
