Ayaka was trying really, super hard to not panic right now. This was a nightmare situation. She'd been caught up in a curse that seemed to spread if you shared knowledge of it with anyone, and it turned you into a complete ditzy airhead with a stupidly oversexed body. No thanks! Not for her. She was pretty sure some girls in class would like such a thing, but she absolutely was not for this one little bit!
That was bad enough. Now though? Her odd behaviour (and possibly that of others) had been noticed by Negi and Miss Shizuna. Two freaking teachers! And they'd pulled her in, sat her butt down and pulled her in for a good hard talking too.
In short, worst case scenario! What would happen to Negi if he was affected by the curse? Oh, the mind boggled! As the student council president, the one thing she absolutely one hundred percent must do, at all costs, is ensure that these two teachers walk away from this room totally oblivious to what was going on!
Which was the exact opposite of her normal instincts!
"Alright, Ayaka," Shizuna began. "You know you can tell us anything, right? It doesn't leave this room if you don't want it to."
"That's right," Negi said, flashing her a big, adorable smile. Eek! He really was far too precious like this! "You can rely on us!"
That's the trouble. She knew that. She knew that better than anyone! Or so it felt. There probably was someone who understood that better than her, but that was hardly the point. She had to play stupid while not actually being made stupid by the curse. Ahem!
"Why, I do not know what you are talking about!" Ayaka chuckled, even going so far as to pull out a fan to cool herself off. "Your concern as educators is admirable, but please don't read so much into your student's behaviour, ohohoho!"
It hurt to be so deceitful to such an innocent face! And yet, it was necessary. Absolutely necessary! If she did not, if she failed to convince him, then the campus would have either buff beach bro Negi wandering around flexing his biceps all over the place, or a gender flipped Negi with an enormous chest! Who wants either of those?!
Once again - Ayaka found herself keenly aware of several members of her class that would be perfectly happy with either of them. Alas, she was not presented the opportunity to let herself wearily sigh at the antics of her peers, as Miss Shizuna peeled the fan away from her face.
"Please, don't hide your expression behind a fan," Shizuna said. Guh! Right, of course. She was so focused on Negi, who was a brilliant prodigy, that she'd forgotten than Shizuna herself was a truly amazing teacher too! Of course she would notice something as obvious as 'hide your face to hide your emotions'! Even though Ayaka hadn't done that on purpose, she might have subconsciously to hide out how awe inspiringly stressed out this situation was making her! "Please, if you're being bullied or harassed, or if something is wrong in your personal life at all, we are all ears!"
"Please, Ayaka!" Negi said, reaching out to take her hands. "Don't you trust us? Trust me?"
What a devastating double team! She couldn't hope to endure this relentless assault! Two versus one, it was hardly fair at all! Aha! Her eyes were spinning, in the back of her brain she could hear the cursed idiot version of her giggling, whispering to her that seeing those two changed would be, like, super cute and fun and stuff~ But no! She held off, she relented, she would not succumb so easily, so simply!
Negi felt a pang of disappointment as Ayaka gave her insistence that everything was fine. Her dazzling smile and breezy laugh didn’t quite hide the strain in her voice, but it wasn’t his place to press further if she didn’t want to open up. Still, he couldn’t help but feel he’d let her down somehow.
The sensation hit Ayaka like an emotional gut punch. She felt a metaphorical critical hit ripple through her very soul as Negi’s crestfallen expression struck her like a thousand tiny arrows. Oh no, no, no, no! She bit back a wince, doing everything in her power to keep her serene, composed exterior intact. She had to protect him from this!
Shizuna, ever the empathetic observer, gently interjected. “Negi-sensei,” she said with a warm smile, placing a hand on his shoulder, “perhaps Ayaka would feel more comfortable speaking to me alone. You know how it is with these sorts of things—sometimes it’s easier to talk to someone of the same gender.”
“Oh!” Negi blinked, then nodded quickly. “Of course! That makes sense. I’ll step out for a bit.”
Though reluctant, he rose from his seat, casting one last glance toward Ayaka. “If you ever do want to talk, though, Ayaka, I’m here for you. Always.”
The earnestness in his voice made her heart twist painfully, but she kept her mask firmly in place, offering him a shallow nod and a forced laugh. “Thank you, Negi-sensei. Truly.”
Negi gave her an encouraging smile before stepping out, the door clicking softly shut behind him.
The moment Shizuna closed the door behind Negi, Ayaka slumped in her chair, her composure finally cracking. She exhaled shakily, feeling as though she’d just dodged a bullet. “Oh my goodness, that was—ugh!—way too close!” she muttered under her breath. Her fan trembled slightly in her grip, and she fought to suppress the rising panic bubbling beneath the surface.
Shizuna approached cautiously, her eyes soft with concern. “Ayaka,” she began, her voice calm but probing, “I understand you don’t want to discuss this in front of Negi-sensei, but... something is clearly going on. If you’re in trouble, you don’t have to face it alone. Let me help you.”
Ayaka’s heart sank. The sincerity in Shizuna’s voice was a knife to her already guilt-ridden chest. But if I tell her... she’ll… Her thoughts trailed off as that giggling, airheaded voice in the back of her mind whispered again: It’s fine! Just, like, let her in on it, you know? It’s totally okay~.
“No!” Ayaka blurted, standing abruptly and gripping the back of her chair for support. She forced a strained smile, trying to brush it off. “There’s truly nothing to worry about, Shizuna-sensei! I can handle—”
But before she could stop herself, the words spilled out.
“I mean, it’s just this, like, totally stupid curse that’s messing with me! But it’s fine! I’m, like, dealing with it and stuff!” She slapped her hands over her mouth, wide-eyed in horror.
Shizuna froze, blinking in confusion. “...A curse?” she echoed.
Ayaka took a step back, shaking her head furiously. “No! Wait, forget I said that! Please! I didn’t mean to—!”
But it was too late. A shiver ran through Shizuna, her expression briefly going slack. Ayaka watched in dismay as her normally composed and sophisticated teacher suddenly straightened up, blinking rapidly. Her posture shifted, becoming more... exaggerated. Her chest puffed out slightly, and her previously concerned expression melted into one of distracted cheer.
Though that was far from the end of it. Shizuna already had, like, a super duper impressive rack, tee hee, but it got, like, even more so! It grew and grew until it made Ayaka's seem small and tiny by comparison, you could smother a guy, maybe two or three in that tender yielding cleavage.
What was more, her clothes were shifting as well! Shizuna normally wore a perfectly sensible jumper, but not this time. It shrank considerably, and not just because her boobies were growing. The fabric was totally shrinking too, tee hee~
Then there was her skirt. A reasonable, fashionable skirt... if you didn't count the enormous slit appearing in the side of it, leaving her thighs exposed to the whole wide world! It was a brand new look for this super sexy teacher lady! Ayaka most definitely approved -
No, hold on. Part of her was holding on even through the bimbo persona... She disapproved of this! She disapproved a lot!
“Oh my gosh,” Shizuna giggled, brushing her hair back with a dramatic flourish. “A curse? That is, like, so wild! I mean, for real, that’s, like, major drama!”
Ayaka clutched her head in despair. “No, no, no! Not you too!” she groaned. She could already feel her own grip on reality weakening. The bubbly voice in her mind was louder now, giggling uncontrollably and egging her on. See? She’s so, like, pretty and stuff now! You should totally just relax and have fun!
Shizuna swayed slightly, putting a hand on her hip and tilting her head in an exaggerated pose. “Wait, wait, wait! Are you telling me you’ve been dealing with this curse thingy all by yourself? That’s, like, so unfair!” She leaned in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “You totally should’ve told me sooner, babe!”
Ayaka stumbled back, horrified. “I didn’t want this to happen! I didn’t mean to—! Oh no, it’s—it’s happening again!”
Her legs gave out, and she collapsed onto the chair, clutching her head as her thoughts fractured further. The dignified, determined student council president she knew herself to be was slipping away. A faint giggle escaped her lips, unbidden.
“Oh my gosh,” Ayaka said, voice lighter and higher-pitched. “This is, like, so not okay, you know? I mean, ugh! Look at me!” She gestured dramatically to herself, suddenly hyper-aware of how... exaggerated everything felt. Her hair looked shinier somehow, her body curvier, her every movement more theatrical. “Why is this, like, kinda cute though?” she muttered to herself with a ditzy laugh, spinning in her chair to admire her reflection in the window.
Meanwhile, Shizuna was busy examining her own reflection in the glass of a nearby cabinet. “Oh my gosh, right? Like, look at us! We’re, like, totally fab!” She struck a playful pose, twisting slightly to show off her figure. “Honestly? This curse thingy is, like, kinda fun! Do you think Negi-kun would notice? Ohmigosh, imagine if he did!” She clapped her hands together, giggling.
“Don’t bring Negi-sensei into this!” Ayaka cried, snapping out of her self-admiration with a jolt of panic. She pointed accusingly at Shizuna. “We cannot let him find out, like, ever-ever-ever! Got it? He’d be all, like, weird and stuff, and then—”
The door cracked open suddenly. Both women froze mid-gesture, turning to stare at the intruder.
Negi poked his head in cautiously. “Uh, I heard a noise—are you both—?”
His voice trailed off as he took in the scene: Shizuna standing by the cabinet, one hand on her hip in a dramatic pose, Ayaka mid-spin in her chair, her mouth open in shock.
“...OkaythenI’lljustgobye!” Negi stammered, shutting the door so fast it rattled in its frame.
For a moment, there was silence. Then Shizuna and Ayaka looked at each other, their faces identical masks of horror.
“Ohmigosh!” Ayaka wailed, jumping out of her chair. “He saw us! This is, like, the worst!”
Shizuna gasped, clutching her cheeks. “You’re so right! What if he, like, tells someone?! Oh no, oh no, oh nooooo!”
They both dissolved into panicked, bubbly giggles, the curse pulling them deeper into its grasp as they flailed about helplessly.
