At their core, all living things have -or should have - a survival instinct. Flight or fight compulsions that keep you from doing things that you know will get you killed. Alas, some living things have something wrong with their biochemistry that keeps them from having that, which results in them engaging in self destructive behavior, or at the very least behaviour that is likely to put them in danger than not.
Case in point.
"Hey, where's Ranma?" a certain girl asked.
"Oh, I saw him heading out with Ukyo."
“Really?”
“Yeah, Ukyo looked real pleased.”
Everyone else in the classroom took one big step away and shielded their eyes. Then the two desks on either side of the certain girl exploded for apparently no reason at all.
"Well, I'd better go and get them then," that certain girl said, smiling a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Then she turned around, the way she did so reminding her classmates of a very small tornado.
The wall and window on the side of the classroom exploded with a single thrust of the heavy steel mace that particular girl had pulled out of her school bag. She then walked out, falling down from the second floor and landing on the ground as if she had just taken a single step between the two stories.
Smiling all the while. Smiling as she stepped down to the pavement below. Smiling as she left the school grounds, smiling as she hopped up to the rooftops. Smiling as she pulled a nasty sword out of somewhere with one hand, to match the giant mace in the other..
"Ahaha, that lover of mine is dead meat!" Akane chuckled to herself. "But not as dead as that chef! Making a play for my man, huh? Well, let's see how she tastes diced and fried and rolled up in batter!"
How dare she. How dare she! Right when she and Ranma were finally, finally getting their rocks off on each other she steps in to try and steal it away? How dare he head off with a romantic rival without telling her! Didn't he know how that looked?! You'd think with the way he held her last night, and then again this morning -
The smile hit her eyes. You could tell because her legs gave out and she stumbled while making lewd noises. She'd been trying to keep it at bay all day long. The memory of herself getting fucked by Ranma, the boy that she liked, but also sort of didn't like but had a solid emotional connection with and felt intense sexual attraction to. The memory of him fucking her had done all kinds of funny things to her brain, and she was finding it quite hard to maintain her fine motor control whenever she thought about it for more than a few seconds.
Was there any surprise in that, though? His lean, powerful frame pressed up against her writhing body. His handsome face filling her vision. His hands, strong yet precise. His penis, drilling her like asphalt.
"M-Maybe I'll let him do that one last time before I punish him..." Akane muttered. "No! I have a succubus chef bitch to fillet!"
Then again, that was a bit extreme. Murder should be off the table. The worst she should do is slap the taste out of Ranma's mouth for going along with this without thinking - as usual - about how this would look. Even if he wasn't planning on doing anything it still looks bad so he should be slapped for beign dumb.
Then again, Ukyo wouldn't learn her lesson unless her life was put in immediate danger, and if she caught the idea that the threat was a bluff then it loses all its power. Better to get rid of her now. Once and for all.
Then again. Then again. Then again...
"Mommy, why is that girl waltzing with a sword on that rooftop?"
"Don't look at her, dear. She must have whatever Doctor Tofu has..."

So how, you may ask, did our young angry, and violent girl come to the conclusion that murder was not the answer? To answer that question, let us go back into her thought process. Personified by the two halves of her personality that used to be independent people before being merged to create her.
"All I'm saying is, give cold blooded murder a chance," Shampoo patiently, oh so patiently said to her other half. "It will make you feel much, much better. Really lets the stress out." She tilted her head. "Well, that's what great grandmother says. I've not actually had to kill a person yet."
"Calm that murder boner!" Akane yelled back, much less patiently. "It's Ranma's fault for being an idiot! If anyone's getting punished, it should be him!"
"But if we only punish Ranma, then Ukyo will try again," Shampoo said. “Now that we’ve sealed the deal with Airen we need to be decisive about all his hanger-ons.”
You can see the problem here. Both of them were equally in control over their greater self out in the world outside of soul metaphors and stuff but this was something both of them were in total disagreement about. It was stalling her out, keeping her from getting to Uchan's, simply because she herself hadn't figured out what she was going to do.
Which is amusing because getting to Uchan's promptly was something they had immediately agreed upon.
"We are not killing our friend," Akane forcefully said.
"Oh?" Shampoo tilted her head and went all puppy dog eyed, which is how you know she was about to indulge in serious sarcasm. "So friends steal each other's man? You have strange, strange friends."
"Well! If she's stolen Ranma, then fine! Have at it!" Akane threw up her hands and stormed away, unbelieving that this is what she had to work with.
“Where are you going? This is all a metaphorical mindscape!”
“To my room!” Akane shouted, somehow slamming a door behind her and leaving Shampoo alone in the theater. Then Akane opened the door and poked out her mean, scowly face. "And don't think for one moment that I'm going to let you take charge and murder Ukyo, because I am watching! Got it!"
“Fine. No murder. Again.” Shampoo sighed. She looked back up at the screen showing the viewpoint of Herself. “Airen you’d better not be letting your dick take charge…” She muttered darkly.
And that's the story of how two hot headed, inherently violent girls, who had fused into a singular inherently violent girl, had ultimately stepped away from the path of violence in favour of scoping out the situation before doing anything rash.
Weird how clashing viewpoints can, on occasion, produce a reasonable and rational result.
If only it worked like that more often in the real world...
- Ranma, being the dense idiot that he is, is busy making his situation all that much worse.
- Ranma has figured out what Ukyo is really doing and tries to get out, but can't leave for some reason
- Before she's allowed to enter Uchan's, Akane must contend with Konatsu, who won't let her enter.
- Something else
