Discussion: One Foxy Dame + Akane's Idenitty Crisis

One Foxy Dame: Well, this is embarassing. I haven't actually written out last week's yet (for this thread or Wild Ride), due to unexpected stuff keeping me busy during the week (and yesterday). I do have a plan in mind - sort of - for that one.

In essence, since Aoi is kind of the title character, I did feel like we should draw her back into the plot a bit here. Keep her oblivious to her detective's deal with Lady Valentine, have her hunting down a few more trinkets for Louis, and this causes her to cross paths with him again. Then, end the episode there.

If that's what I go with, what would you like to see as a follow up? This week looks a bit lighter than last, so I should be able to get it done this week.

Akane's Identity Crisis: Ah, yes. This was a fun thread. I think it's a bit too soon to have Akane switch personalities again. I do like the idea of her competing with Nabiki over who gets to bully Ranma, but the idea of the sisters double teaming him does tickle my fancy a bit.

However, for plot reasons, #1 is the natural progression point. Ranma had assumed that the bunnysuit was the cause of Akane's weird behaviour, so seeing her act like this is going to make him wonder if it was something else instead.

As for Wild Ride, I'll get that written this week as well. Again, sorry about this, it will get done I promise.

  1. No worries. Life happens and you have to take care of your business. I patiently await your next entries.

One Foxy Dame: I still suggest following Mr.LeBlanc’s pursuit of the Elephant Man. In consideration with your intent for Aoi, his pursuit could be simultaneous with her business and they run into each other while he’s after them. Perhaps literally?
Another suggestion I had is for the fourth option. What if one of the swords in Aoi’s acquisition is a yokai? I heard of some known to possess household objects. Adding a sentient sword to the detective’s entourage could be funny.

Akane’s Identity Crisis: I agree. Having essentially two Nabiki’s antagonize Ranma and each other would be fun. Making each other worse as they try to outdo themselves.
And I think you could hold off on Ranma catching onto Akane’s condition. While I am not that knowledgeable of the show, I get the impression that the boy (currently girl) is a bit dense. Have him come to the completely wrong conclusion at this point, and have him get back on track later could be a good compromise.
