Tsukune had been hyping himself up for quite some time about his first day at this new school. He'd never actually heard of Yokai Academy before, and the boy was quite eager to see how he fit in. None of his friends were going, nobody in his family had ever heard of the place before. It all came down to his father randomly finding a brochure, thinking it sounded cool, and then he was booked for it just like that. No interview, just a weird little form to fill in and they accepted pretty much right away.
Which, to his mind, sounded just a little too good to be true. No entrance test for such an exclusive school? And there were parts of the form that just did not sit right with him at all. Sure, it all looked about right with all the usual details required. Name, gender, race, a larger box to fill out any special needs. Yet there was something about it all that felt somewhat sinister, something he must have noticed subconsciously but couldn't quite work out for the life of him.
"Good evening Mister Aono."
Yet those concerns were quickly crushed under the stampeding fresh worries brought to life by the corpse-like appearance of the bus driver that had arrived to take him, and only him, to this brand new school. He took a tentative step onto the creepy, ramshackle old vehicle -
"Ah, please wait! I'm here, I'm here!"
Then stopped as he heard a girl rushing after them. Tsukune turned around and boggled. There was a really cute girl rushing after the bus. Vibrant bright blue hair tied back with a purple maid headband, a pretty face hiding behind a thick pair of glasses. She was wearing a rather tight fitting jumper, plain colour but you'd be hard pressed to remember the colour with those mounds sticking up the fabric. She was also wearing a rather short pleated skirt that showed off a killer set of legs.
At first glance, Tsukune could only blush and force himself to look away. She was really, really pretty. Strange though, he'd surely remember seeing a beauty like that wandering around wouldn't he?
She reached the bus and leaned against Tsukune to catch her breath. It felt almost like she was stealing his to manage it! Oh boy, he could feel them pressing up against his arm. Gulp!
"Kukuku... How adorable," the bus driver cackled ominously. "Well then, young lovers. Get in, and I shall take you to your destination. Tsukune Aono and Kurumu Kurono, please board now."
"Phew, just made it!" Kurumu sighed. "Um, after you. Tsukune, right?"
"R-Right!" he said nervously. Oh gosh. He couldn't even bring himself to look at her right now. Tsukune sat at the back of the bus feeling his heart going aflutter. He hadn't expected that! After a moment Kurumu followed him onto the bus, and shyly approached the back. So cute! The little way she was fidgeting as she stepped towards him. Wait, was she intending to sit at the back with him? No way, why would a girl like that want to -
"Kya!" she yelped, and fell right into his lap. Tsukune caught her reflexively, holding her by the shoulders.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Oh, I'm perfectly fine," Kurumu said, taking off her thick glasses as she spoke then looked him right in the face. "Wouldn't you agree?"
Yes. Yes he would. Those eyes were... Something else. It felt like he was being drawn into a black hole, except at the end of that journey was a lifetime of candy and pillows rather than having your atoms compressed into an impossibly dense gravitational point. She sat down next to him, and consumed his world. All he wanted to do was hug her closely, to kiss her tender lips. Kurumu slipped her glasses into a breast pocket and smiled at him. Tsukune felt like his heart might stop from just looking at her.
"No petting back there," warned the bus driver. Tsukune leaned away from Kurumu, suddenly feeling quite embarrassed by his behaviour. He'd just about gone in for a kiss without permission! Whatever must Kurumu think of him?
"So," Kurumu said. "Tell me about yourself, Tsukune Aono. What kind of boy are you?"
At which point, time just flew right on by. Tsukune paid no attention to his surroundings. Every now and again he'd get this glimmer of thought to ask about how long the ride would be, but then one look at Kurumu and he'd go under yet again. She was so pretty it was all he could think about. So beautiful that nothing else mattered. So radiant that she outshone the sun. So sexy...
"We have arrived," the driver suddenly said. Already? So soon? Tsukune felt his mouth become dry as Kurumu rose to her feet and patted him on the knee.
"It was a pleasure talking with you," Kurumu said, giving him one last smile before walking off towards the front of the bus. "I hope we meet up again sometime soon. Okay?"
"Okay?" Tsukune weakly called after her. He remained in his seat while she walked forward. His eyes couldn't be removed from the gentle sway of her skirt if you had a team of wild horses attached to his retinal muscles. A cute girl like this was surely once in a lifetime!
Or, rather... As Tsukune was about to learn: Sometimes good things come in threes.

Kurumu's face was a carefully controlled mask that shone brightly with her natural - or rather supernatural - prettiness and allure. It helped to smile. A nice smile set people at ease. Seeing someone else smile a sincere smile subconsciously made other people happy. In the end, Succubi are all about making people happy. That's how they control people. They joy you into submission to their every single whim.
Inside though, Kurumu was not happy. She'd analysed the data. Memorised the monstrous form of every single student in the school. She had calculated weaknesses. Used the data gathered by the school to formulate likely weak points of almost every single member of the student body and half the staff. She'd even gone around and paid a special personal visit to every member of the school's security team and brought them to heel.
And then there was Tsukune Aono. A mystery wrapped in an enigma. She couldn't tell anything about him at all. He smelled like a human, his grades were pretty average, his monster type was unlisted. The data was simply... Not there! For a plan like hers a missing variable like that could throw off so many other calculations, and she'd never know what until the time was right.
That's why she'd been staking him out, you see. Watching him and his family trying to get a clue. What kind of monster was he? Surely eating habits would clue her in. No? Any form of unusual activity? Nope!
And that was why her application had to be changed in a hurry to ensure her pickup was the same as his. It was the most logical course of action. Approach him while the rest of his family was around to notice any behavioural changes, they might twig that a succubus was messing with their dear handsome son. Make no mistake too that he was pretty handsome. In fact, so cute that Kurumu had to deliberately restrain herself from falling for him during their conversation on the bus.
But never mind that. She'd been able to charm him easily enough, and he'd been all but swooning over her. The only problem was the bus driver. Otherwise she would have simply smooched that nice, handsome boy there and then, or asked him directly what kind of monster he was. That was all good! The trial run had worked under safe conditions. Now all she had to do was wait, get him alone, then pounce and take what was rightfully hers - the first actual member of her harem!
Then she could move on and properly set up all the other dominos to fall over. Honestly, this one boy had left her so far behind that she couldn't even believe it!
"Oh, I feel so weak..." moaned a girl, but not in the way Kurumu liked a girl to moan and whimper. She peered around a tree and saw... Tsukune rushing towards a girl with pinkish hair. The succubus felt her face turn white, and she ducked behind that tree faster than she'd ever done anything before in her life. "So hungry... Just a nibble of your neck would do..."
"Huh? What do you guhhhh..."
"Moka Akashiya!" Kurumu whimpered. "One of the - No, the strongest vampire families out there! In terms of willpower, strength, intelligence and beauty they are completely unmatchable."
If Tsukune was the blind spot, then Moka was the impenetrable forcefield. She was one of the few known quantities that Kurumu had absolutely no gameplan for! None at all! Sure, she'd worked out a way to make her charm work on girls, but a Akashiya would twig that something was up long before she could pull that trick off.
Though it galled her that she had to do this for such a splendid leggy beauty, Kurumu had resolved to deal with Moka last. At a point where she could overwhelm the vampire by pure dint of genius, cunning, weight of numbers and diversity of available powers. Even an Akashiya would not have been able to handle that!
"S-Sorry, I didn't mean to do that!" Moka gasped. "Oh... Sorry, I know that a vampire's bite can be very pleasurable for a human. Kya! I wasn't supposed to say I was a vampire, was I? Stupid, stupid, stupid!"
And that was the other issue. Vampires can charm people, and their bites had a strongly sexual connotation. Kurumu bit onto her nail. Even with her perfect body and perfect mind, this was a truly great challenge to start her great harem building! The two obstacles that she had intended to take first and last were now standing side by side. What should she do first?
- Ignore them. Start what would have been her first objective without them being around: Take over the newspaper club.
- Same as above, but a different club.
- Ingratiate herself into their group of friends.
- Take control over the bullies, make them try to split the two up.
- Something else
