Wow, it has been a while since I last worked on Bridal Training hasn't it? Well, it did rise to the top after such a long time, so let's talk a little about what to do with it.
Obviously this is a pretty heavily Akane biased thread which I'm sure some people will find a bit of a turnoff. Even so, let's talk about it a little. There are several directions I can see going in, but I can't quite figure out which would be the best one at the moment.
I figure it might be pretty funny if Ranma wound up talking Akane into letting "her" attend the lessons as well, but I also figure it's a little soon to do something like that. I also think that Akane might even learn hypnosis herself, and figure that's a good way to get those other girls to leave Ranma alone. Again, later.
I think it might be quite good to focus on how Akane has changed in her behaviour a little bit to be honest. Don't go to the next lesson quite yet. Not yet. First thing's first, have Akane do something a little unusual. Treat Ranma a little nicer than normal, unconsciously flirt with him, that sort of thing. Of course, there should be some sort of weird event surrounding all of this to help highlight Akane's weird behaviour. What could that be? Not a clue right now, I fear. Something the next day most likely.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts about this thread, particularly the direction you'd like to see it take.
Well, I certainly appreciate wanting to hold off on further lessons and focus instead on changes to behavior, but I'm also mindful of the fact that it'll be a long time again (probably an even longer gap than this was, in fact) before this thread will be able to rise to the top again. So that makes me a tad more eager to see things continue moving forward. But stepping back from that, I do think it makes the most sense in terms of the narrative to have the focus be on how the sessions she's already have had affected her—and, consequently, how they've affected things between her and Ranma.
ReplyDeleteIn the longer term, bringing "Ranko" into it could be fun. Same goes for having Akane learn hypnosis as well. However, I do worry that'll bring it a little too close to the Titnosis thread. But it ultimately depends on how it's employed in each thread, yes?
As for being Akane-centric, worry not. As long as it's good (and since it's you, it will be), *most* readers won't care. Right? Right.
