Story: Real World Sailor Moon: Changes

Here is the latest vote winner! I hope you enjoy it.

“Thanks mom,” Usagi mumbled as she took the plate full of cookies. “Your cookies are always the bre- best! See you later, bye!”

It was spreading. The effect that had transformed Ami and those others was somehow spreading! What the hell was up with her today? Usagi sniffed, and wiped at her eyes. No tears, but it felt like there should have been. Why her? Why did she have to stumble into that stupid hole? Why did this all have to happen today?

A hand fell upon her shoulder. “Usagi?” Ami asked. “It’s all getting to you a little bit, isn’t it? I mean... Finding out all of this, it’s pretty overwhelming, and - and I guess you must feel pretty stressed out, right?”

“That is a reasonable reaction,” Luna agreed. “Neither of you could have even guessed at any of this. To have it all dropped into your laps in this manner must be quite the shock to your system. It will save us more time in the long run if you took the time to digest this information and get to know each other a little better.”

Usagi flopped onto her bed, not really listening to the talking cat because she had weirder things to think about right now. Some instinct told her that somehow, her falling into that hole must have caused the alterations. But how? And what should she do about it? Should she tell them? Would they believe her?

“Um... Usagi, I don’t think we’re going to get anywhere if you’re s-so stressed,” Ami said, sitting beside Usagi on the bed while nervously wringing her hands. “I w-was thinking it might help if you had a shoulder massage to w-work out all that st-stress!”

Usagi nodded while nibbling on a cookie. That did sound pretty reasonable. Given the way that things had piled on, and piled on, and piled on and on was it any wonder she was a bit stressed at the moment? A shoulder massage might very well help bring a little clarity and oh dear god Ami’s fingers were little feathers made of bliss and happiness.

“So... Usagi... I was thinking. You seem to know a lot about me, but... But I don’t really know all that much about you!”

“Mmm...” Usagi sighed. “My name is Usaaaaaahgi Tsukinoooooo and I spend most of my ta-time at the arcaaaaaade!”

“That sounds like fun,” Ami said. Gosh, but she was so nice. A bit shy, but so smart! And pretty, and cute... “Maybe I should go with you sometime.” And kinda hot...

“So hey, I feel great all of a sudden!” Usagi leaped from the bed, breathing more than just a little heavily. It almost had her! Calm down, Usagi. Stay focused... Ah, screw it. “But don’t you think all of this is a little weird?”

“Well, I suppose it kind of is,” Ami replied, giving the cutest little tilt of her head that made her look so - Stop that! “But after a while, I got used to your talking pussy.”

There was a gurgling noise by the door, which prompted Usagi to turn and notice her bratty little brother standing there, frozen in place with a horrified expression painted on his face. After a moment, he twitched slightly and said “I was gonna ask if I could borrow something, but now I can’t remember for the life of me what it was. I’m gonna leave before my nightmares tonight get worse.”

And then he closed the door. Well. That was something else she’d have to deal with later, but in comparison to everything else it was pretty low priority.

“I wasn’t meaning Luna!” Usagi said. “Didn’t you notice anything weird earlier? About how... Built mom was? Didn’t that strike you as a little strange?”

Luna and Ami shared a look for a moment, and both of them sighed.“To be perfectly honest, yes. I did notice something odd...” the cat said. “But I really didn’t want to bring it up, because it is a potentially embarrassing issue.”

“Thank you! Gosh! I thought for certain I was losing my mind!”

“It’s okay Usagi!” Ami said. “You’re perfectly cute the way you are! And besides which, I’m sure you’ll be just as big before long!”

Huh. She’d seen other people react this way to something she’d said or done, but never had to do so herself. A new experience to draw upon. So this was a facepalm...
“She wasn’t that big when we arrived,” Usagi mumbled through her hand.

“I am quite certain that she was,” Luna insisted. “Regardless! If you are both feeling more like yourselves, we should continue the discussion where we left off, and put all this nonsense about weirdness behind us! Now... where was I?”

“You had just finished telling us about how the Negaverse requires sexual energy to bring itself out of its seal,” Ami said. In that moment Usagi made her first decision as leader of the group. She would gain nothing by giving herself a concussion by banging her head on the wall, no matter how much she may currently feel as though it would help. “And you had just mentioned something about other Scouts.”

“Thank you Ami. I should have realised that Sailor Mercury would have a rather wonderful memory to rely upon! In addition to you two, there are another three that we must find. Sadly I do not know who they are or where to find them, so we must be dilligent in our -”

“Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino.”

For the second time since the meeting began, Luna and Ami both stared in silent bafflement at Usagi.

“R-Right,” Luna said. “Once we have gathered all five together, we must then locate and protect the Moon Princess, and - Usagi, you should have gone to the bathroom before we had this meeting.”

“That’s not why I raised my hand!” Usagi huffed. “Sailor Moon! Moon Princess!”

“... And your point is?”

That wall was looking really tempting right about now.

“I think she’s saying that she is the Moon Princess,” Ami said, and for just a moment Usagi thought she might kiss that beautiful busty genius. The thought was chased away with torches and pitchfork. “But that does seem like a hasty conclusion to reach based on what may well be circumstantial evidence. Do you have anything to corroborate?”

This time it was Usagi’s turn to stare dumbly.

“She means, do you have anything to back that up?” Luna clarified.

“Well... not here... But I think I need to show you guys something.”

Today had started out as such an ordinary day. She went to school. Studied. Was largely ignored by the other students, save the idle chit-chat about how smart she was. Sometimes Ami didn’t feel as smart as her grades and the gossip insisted upon. If she was, then why did she always study alone? Why didn’t she have any friends?

Then there was that incident in the library, which had horrified the shy prodigy much as it would have anyone else in her position at the time. The world around her had gone a bit deranged for a moment, while she had remained maddeningly sane.

Ah! But out of nowhere came a beacon of light and hope. A courageous blonde haired figure that inspired something in Ami that she had never felt before. Courage, admiration and enough lust to power the country.

Sure, the girl was a bit of an oddity, but no worse than the talking feline currently following the two girls down the street. Usagi was in the lead, and Ami was trying very, very hard not to stare at her rear, she really was but the way that her first focal point of lust kept on leaning forward to touch the ground did not make this easy at all.

Those thoughts of lust were sharply driven from Ami’s mind when Usagi flat out vanished before her very eyes. In a state of shock, Ami stepped forward and -

“Woooaaaaaaaaaaah! Ouch!”

“Are you okay?” Usagi asked from behind Ami as she picked herself up. “Sorry, I should’ve warned you. That first step is a doozy!”

“Thank you I’m fine,” Ami replied, taking Usagi’s offer of assistance and pulling herself up to her feet. Except. Usagi looked sort of different. Still stunningly gorgeous, but her face seemed almost... different? There were shades of colour present that had never been there before, her eyes seemed smaller. The world around them was different in similar ways, as though she was seeing things in higher detail than she was used to. It was perhaps a cliche analysis of her situation, but Ami felt just like Alice down the rabbit hole. “Where are we?”

“Welcome to the real world,” Usagi said.

Ami opened her mouth to ask a question, but didn’t quite get the chance before a black cat landed on her head at enough speed to knock her back onto the ground.

“So you see, we’re all fictional characters created by some woman called Naoko Takeuchi,” Usagi said. Ami simply nodded along, taking this all in her stride while Luna simply purred. Poor thing couldn’t talk in the “real world”, and was probably little more than an ordinary housecat with human intelligence here.

Probably for the best. Somehow she had the impression that seeing Luna talk would be kind of unsettling.

“When I came here this morning, I looked up a bunch of stuff on the series. That’s how I knew the names of the others, but I figure you’re way smarter than me so... maybe you can remember a few things that will make our lives a bit easier, you know?”

“I suppose that makes sense,” Ami said. “And that’s why we’ve come to this library, right?”

“That’s right! ‘Cept this library won’t have any perverted Youma taking over it, or anything!”

From the way Ami cringed there, maybe it was a bit too soon to bring that up. Never mind! Ami just had to sign her name at the desk and be pointed in the approximate direction of the computers, and away she could go!

“They have this neat thing here called the Internet!” she said in a sage tone. “You can use it to find out stuff about Sailor Moon. But be quick about it, ‘cause the last time I was here everything sort of changed around for some reason, as if I never went back.”

“Probably a consequence of quantum mechanics interacting with blah blah blah, blah blah fiction, blah blah blah, many worlds, blah blah blah.”

Usagi nodded through the torrent of blahs, and idly hoped that Luna could handle herself outside the library. It wasn’t as though they could take her in, or anything. If they drew too much attention to themselves, who knows what sort of trouble might unwind...

But that train of thought turned to mulch when she saw how fast Ami’s fingers flew across the keyboard. They were a blur! No wonder she could give awesome massages. In a tenth of the time it took her to do the same, she’d found this “wikipedia” thingy, and found all the details on Sailor Moon. Amazing! Simply amazing!

“Sailor Moon is a highly regarded hentai satire of the magical girl genre,” Ami read. “In spite of its perverted content, it remains very popular with anime fans of both genders.”

“Hentai?!” Usagi screeched.

“Sh!” the librarian responded.

“It wasn’t a hentai before!” she whispered, having to lean in very close to Ami to get the message across. “The last time I was here, it started off being about us fighting off youma in, you know, fights! Not... Not having... Having... And then it turned into a series about me being missing after a while, until I freaked out and ran off back into the hole!”

“Well,” Ami responded in an even tinier whisper. “I guess it does make a sort of sense. Remember what Luna said about sexual energy?”

“They were gathering regular non-perverted energy!” Usagi hissed. “Look, never mind that for now. You’ve got a better memory and smarter stuff than I have, so... Memorise everything you can, and tell me all about it later on! The less time we spend here, the better I’ll feel.” Ami nodded in agreement. Alright! Somehow, Usagi was starting to really feel like the leader she was supposed to become later on. “You can read way faster than I can, and I’m worried about Luna, so... I’ll see you outside!”

It was only when she strode out of the front door that the giddiness struck, and she sat down just to the side of the doorway while Luna in turn sat and stared right back at her. She would ultimately wait ten minutes for Ami to leave that building, but for now there were many thoughts swirling throughout her mind that could be easily summarised by one simple saying.

“This has been the weirdest day.”

An alarm clock rang, and a sleepy headed blonde’s eyes creaked open with tremendous reluctance. “Jus’ five more minutes,” she mumbled.

“Not if you intend to make it to school on time,” a voice said. A weight landed on her legs and stalked up her body. “Get up, already! What sort of Princess are you supposed to be, anyway?”

Princess? Oh yes, that’s right. She was the Princess of the Moon kingdom, reincarnated into - Oh! Oh! Yep, that woke her up with a jolt!

“Luna! Mind the claws!” Usagi yelled, prompting the pesky cat to flee from the room. Well, she was awake now. A little earlier than usual, too! Memories of yesterday flooded into her mind, and she twitched a little. If nothing else, today couldn’t possibly be as weird as that!

Having thrown her school uniform on, Usagi came to a dead stop. Wait. Something was wrong here. Were her clothes always this tight? Especially around the chest, come to think-

No. No, no, no.

Mirror. She needed a mirror. Like the one in her wardrobe door, for example. Usagi stared at her reflection, and this time tears really did form in her eyes. It got her! It got her and she barely even noticed! Now, on top of everything else she had to worry about breathing too hard and bearing her - admittedly fantastic - rack to the world!

  1. Flashback to the day before. What did they learn from Ami’s research?
  2. Meanwhile, Rei is having problems with missing visitors to the shrine.
  3. Meanwhile, Makoto is breaking up with her boyfriend(s)! Or the other way around.
  4. Meanwhile, Sailor V is having her own perverted adventures!
  5. Later on Usagi and Ami notice something else that’s changed.
  6. Something else

  1. Yaaay, it got her! Mmm... I admit it's more fun as it playfully borders hentai, but then Sirroco's earlier one was fun.

Shame that all of Makoto's boyfriends are just intimidated by her height and enormous bust, always ditching her for less intimidating girls...
