Discussion: Reflective Seduction

I honestly had hoped this would have been pushed forward lest I inadvertantly block off whatever iAmMelting had written for it, but let's get right down to pushing this thread forward.

I am still amused that it won without receiving any votes in weeks. Having said that it would have won much faster if it had during almost any of those weeks.

I think the best direction to go with is for the mirror twins to go about kidnapping people, forcing them to look in the mirror and then taking the duplicate back to replace them. How I go about telling that particular plot point, I'm not yet sure. Reveal it at the end of the episode? Or show the replacement occur at the start?

The first seems the better and more dramatic approach. The trick then becomes filling the rest of it with... stuff. Particularly stuff that leads to the reveal.

As for who the first victim is, Kasumi is the safest bet. Not a martial artist by any means, meaning that she's much easier to keep hold of. Not only that but she's the first up each morning, and would be staying at home all day... Strategically speaking it has to be her. Probably stick her in the pocket mirror or something to keep her out of the way.

So! This episode can kick things off with breakfast. There is a discussion about what to do with the clones, and Kasumi promises to keep a close eye on them. And that she'll make sure the two fathers help out as well.

They all leave and Kasumi walks up to the clones and tells them that everything is fine. Everyone has left except the fathers, and they're sleeping due to a little something she slipped into their drinks. They shake the pocket mirror and the real Kasumi falls out while the reflected Kasumi complains about how uptight she had to act when all she wants to do is find a cute boy.

Does something along those lines sound about right? As always I am open to suggestions on this thread.

  1. Well, I agree that revealing the replacement at the end of the episode is probably the most dramatically effective option. And going with Kasumi first is not only the most logical choice, I'd say it's also the most impactful. Nobody usually expects anything to happen to Kasumi, after all. (Except, of course, for anyone who reads this post!)

Good call, sir. I suspect that approach will renew some of the interest in the thread as well.
