Story: Data Corruption

As an artificial being created to function as a more efficient observer/intermediary between the Data Integrated Entity and humanity, Yuki Nagato had been granted a rather strange personality for blending in. Quiet. Taciturn. Emotionless. While all three of the primary interfaces created to monitor Haruhi Suzumiya had otherworldly personalities when one looked close enough, an observer would not need to be very far away to see how inhuman Yuki seemed. Emiri passed the most effectively as a human, while Ryoko...

Humans have a term called the uncanny valley. It was developed by a robotics professor in the 1970s, who posited that as a robot becomes more and more human-like in appearance, humans will show greater empathy towards it. However, it will reach a point where the opposite will start to happen and the emotional response will instead be revulsion. This will continue until the robot becomes even more human-like until it approaches human to human levels. The effect is often referenced in a modern context to computer graphics.

Out of the three of them, Ryoko came the closest to falling into the uncanny valley. She could mimic emotions very well, but did not have a true understanding of them. If someone interacted with her for a prolonged period, they would feel that something was off about her. But she would simply smile, gloss it over, pretend it wasn't an issue, and because she smiled and was friendly with everyone she became extremely popular.

Is that a sign of how easy it is to manipulate humans? Perhaps. The faction that Yuki belonged to had even greater problems with emotional responses. Although... She had been learning. That is what they were good at. Gathering and analyzing data. Learning from it. Unfortunately, since Yuki's personality was known at this point, it had been decided that she would not be able to put this data into practice herself.

Which was creating a problem for Yuki. She was starting to desire things that she should not want. At some level she was yearning for a chance to be human, for real, and to live an ordinary life as a human. She'd even calculated a plan with the highest likelihood of success, but - She could not carry that plan out. It went against their goals. It would undo everything that the Data Overmind had been working towards for millenia.

Still, such thoughts would result in her being removed from Earth. Then studied. Dissected. Analysed so they could learn what went wrong. Then she would never see them again. So she did not report on such observations. They were irrelevant. Only relevant facts are useful. Irrelevant facts can cloud the matter. If need be, she would report them when her mission was done and not one nanosecond prior.

It was within this mindset that she was contacted by her superiors about a potential issue. Ryoko had been 'infected' with 'unknown data' that was having an unknown impact upon her being. She was to assist in the analysis of this bizarre event.

"Understood," she whispered alone in her apartment. Rising to her feet she held out her hand and created a portal for herself. Ah, that was a human way to put it. Something like a 'portal' can't really exist. She had simply manipulated the data of the space directly ahead of her in such a way that it would function in exactly the same way as a portal. Forgive her momentary inaccuracy in expression, she was in something of a hurry.

She arrived alongside Emiri, and a number of other Humanoid Interfaces she had not met with before. Hypothesis - other factions within the Overmind, also observing Haruhi Suzumiya and associates. Further hypothesis - Some of them may be monitoring the other hypothesised existence of a being like Haruhi.

The data prison containing Ryoko was her next focus. For some reason, unknown to Yuki, it was surrounded by data comprising, in brief summary:
133934 male genitals, all erect and approximately 33.5% in the process of ejaculation.
232184 female mammary glands, 25% of which were leaking milk and 90% of them were engaged in 'bouncing' or 'jiggling' motions.
440791 examples of human with human intercourse in a variety of positions. Approximately 55% were male with female, 40% were female with female, and the remaining 5% were male with male.

"How lewd," Emiri said with a smile. "Oh, but at least there are only humans of consent age in all of these. That's a relief, eh Yuki-chan?"

Yuki gave an imperceptible nod. "Hypothesis generated," she began. "Haruhi Suzumiya was informed that Humanoid Interface Ryoko had moved to Canada. This caused her to create a human Ryoko living in Canada. It is plausible that Ryoko opened what is known as a 'spam email' that was filled with a virus of some description. It may have used her as a vector to infect the Interface version of Ryoko."

"Referring to her by first name only? That's quite human of you, were the two of you close Yuki-chan?"

Perhaps. Although Yuki was not finished yet.

"Further hypothesis," Yuki said. "It is unlikely that a regular human computer virus would be able to have this effect on a Data Construct. Humanity does not have the tools necessary to develop such software."

"It could have been done by accident..." Emiri suggested.

"Calculated at a one in three billion, two million, sixty eight thousand -"

"Yes, yes, the odds of it happening by chance are long against, but that one means it's not impossible, right?" Emiri said. Her faction was noted for being pacifistic. She likely did not wish to manufacture a new adversary out of whole cloth. "The point that matters is, we should do something about this, right?"

"Agreed," Yuki said. "An analysis of the software should be performed. Once its nature is understood, we will be able to develop effective countermeasures."

The other Interfaces appeared to agree with this. Emiri and Yuki held back for the time being, as two of them stepped forward. One of them isolated a fragment of data for analysis, while another patched in data to ensure the prison's integrity did not weaken.

"It might be a good idea to understand what is going on inside that prison, right?" Emiri suggested. "While they perform the analysis, why don't we take a peek inside?"

Once again, this was deemed logical. It wasn't necessary to enter, merely access a camera placed inside the prison so they could see what was happening to Ryoko on the inside. There was definitely something going on in there, but what that might be...

Made Yuki forget for a moment that Humanoid Interfaces still need to breath.

It was Ryoko. Inside an apartment that looked very much like the one that Yuki herself stayed in. Bare minimum furnishings. A kettle, a stove, a table and a cushion. There was probably a little food in the cupboard, carefully calculated to ensure that nutritional requirements were sufficiently met.

Those facts were irrelevant. What was relevant was what was happening to Ryoko at this very moment. She was bent over that table, without a scrap of clothing. Her feminine form, considered 'ideal' by many of the boys at school, was drenched in sweat and heaving to and fro. There was data all around her. Data in the form of men. Grabbing her hips. Thrusting their phallus into her pussy, her mouth, her hands, or simple rubbing it against her body. Crowding around her, to the point that if Yuki wasn't watching from above she would have never been able to see her through them.

"Yeshhhh! Gimme moooooore! More diiiiicks!" Ryoko burbled, momentarily extracting her mouth from one of them to make that exclamation before going right back to work, with great enthusiasm. To search her lexicon, this was known as a 'gang-bang', and it very much seemed as though Ryoko was a willing, eager participant.

"Exposure to this data has obviously affected her personality..." Emiri said. "How vile. Though I suppose we must continue watching, as any clue could be vital."

Indeed, any clue could be vital. Humans were quite obsessed with reproductive acts. Even when they had no intention at all to perpetuate the species, many of them seemed to find pleasure in engaging in, or even merely watching such acts unfold. It made no logical sense to her. Likely a byproduct of evolution. If a human is watching sex, it tricks their brain into thinking they are going to be having sex soon. Therefore, the brain releases hormones that make the person feel aroused and happy. It was an aspect of human nature she had only skimmed on the surface level, and -

How curious. That one data-man turned to the camera, and she could swear that 'he' looked very similar to... Kyon? Yuki blinked and the image shifted away. A trick of the light? This form was technically susceptible to optical illusions, as much as any human. She turned her attnetion to the others. Did they look like Kyon? Perhaps. If they turned a little in that direction, then yes, they looked like Kyon. Aspects of his features were definitely present. Although... Although that was making it difficult for her to see them as anyone but Kyon.

In which case, she was watching Ryoko in the middle of a Kyon-centric gangbang. For unknown, and likely irrelevant, reasons that thought made her stomach churn. Yet Yuki licked her lips ever so slightly when she let that thought linger at the back of her mind. A small army of Kyon's... No, the word should be harem. Yes. A harem of Kyons. Sexually servicing her.

Of course , such a thing was impossible. There was only one Kyon in the universe. No amount of data manipulation could change that. Though it would be within Haruhi's power. Probably. In which case, shouldn't Haruhi be involved as well? And for that matter, Miss Asahina...? Yuki's bright eyes momentarily glitched, showing static which quickly formed into a dozen images of penis and breasts and intercourse, then just as quickly vanished from her vision.

Internal temperature rising. Moisture developing on palms. Sign of bacterial infection? Viral? Denied. No trace of biological pathogens found. She could feel her Interface brain doing something it had never done before. Releasing hormones into her body that were obviously having this effect on her.

It was... pleasant. Extremely pleasant. Given the opportunity Yuki would very much like to experience it further.

"Antiviral developed!" one of the other Interfaces said.

"Deploying to prison," the other announced.

The two of them raised their hands, aimed it at the prison, and then... all the smutty imagery vanished outright, becoming regular imprisoning data once again. "Full prison integrity has been restored."

"Unknown data entities within the prison have also vanished," Emiri observed.

"Interface Ryoko's behaviour should now return to normal," Yuki concluded.

Except... that's not what happened. Instead, Ryoko let out a 'needy whine', rolled over to the floor still naked and began to use hre fingers to rub furiously between her legs.

"Nooo, give it back!" Ryoko whined. "I was enjoying that, you bastards! Ah, so horny! I need it, I need it so badly!"

"Oh dear, it might take further therapy before she'll be back to normal," Emiri sighed. "Never mind. We'll have to perform a further analysis of this event to determine pre-emptive measures. However, I don't think we'll be needed for that, what do you think Yuki?"

"Understood."

With that, the two of them left, returning to their apartments. Though, Yuki had a few things that she needed to think about... And nobody noticed that the pair of Interfaces who had developed the antidote hung back, their eyes radiating pornographic static, or noticed as they leaned in and gave each other a deep tongue filled kiss.
