Secret Santa UY
A funny thing happened the moment that Ran popped the chocolate in her mouth. While she was savouring the taste of Earth’s favourite confectionery item Shinobu was simultaneously taking a deep, deep sniff of the flower. It was one of those odd quirks. Ran’s biology was a little closer in line to those of humanity than most of the other known alien races, so she could certainly savour their food and appreciate it more than other visitors would be able to. Then again, that did mean she would have more difficulty preparing a truly delicious meal for Rei as she would not taste the food the same way…
But as she chewed and enjoyed the flavour, Ran noticed something a little bit peculiar. Now, she held Shinobu absolutely no malice. It was important to understand that. They’d never really interacted enough for there to be any kind of distrust or dislike between them. Which might be why, when she swallowed just then, it was only partially to introduce the sweet to the rest of her digestive system post haste.
“Are you feeling alright?” Shinobu asked out of nowhere. That question seemed rather pointed in the wrong direction, if you asked Ran! Not when Shinobu’s skin had turned a bright and radiant red!
“Ah, Ran’s alright!” she giggled a little in response. A cutesy little twirl in place, and then smile brightly, like an adorable doll. That was how Ran was, you see. “What about you? Are you feeling alright?”
“Never better,” Shinobu replied. “Thank you for sharing the flower. It smells like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. Simply amazing.”
“I bet it did,” Ran whispered. “I mean, thank you for giving them to me! Oh gosh, is that the time? I really have to get going. Bye bye, Miss Shinobu! See you around!”
“Goodbye, Miss Ran. I hope we see more of each other in future.”
“Of course!” Ran replied. Though honestly, given what she was seeing right now…
It was amazing. Simply amazing! One moment Shinobu had been there, sniffing the flowers like you would on any random day. The next second? Her skin, hair and eyes had completely changed to match the colour of the flowers! Oh, she felt bad for the poor girl. But it wasn’t as if it was her fault, and what could she have done to help anyway? Then again, there were possibilities here for a little humiliation.
Ooh, she could see it so easily! Get Lum to sniff some of these flowers. Maybe more than once to see what would happen. Or try it out on Benten? Haha, it would be so much fun seeing them in all blue or green, or perhaps turn them into some tartan pattern?
“Scan these flowers,” Ran said aloud, thrusting them under the appropriate device in her spaceship. After all, heading to an alien world without being able to scan the flora and fauna was a fool’s errand. You never know what you might encounter. Especially since the locals were still cataloguing everything as it was. “I want to know what effect they have.”
In the blink of an eye the readout was before her, and all of a sudden thoughts of mere revenge were thrown out of the window. She’d heard the Earth cliche “say it with flowers,” but this… was a little bit more than what she was expecting.
“Mood manipulation based on colour?” Ran said aloud to nobody in particular. “Oh… This is even better than I thought!”

It’s difficult to create a better contrast for Ran than Shinobu. Really, it is. True, both girls are extremely emotional at times and can lash out in rather destructive ways at the subject of their ire. However, it manifests in quite different ways. Ran? She plots and schemes. Shinobu? She gains super strength and picks things up. Ran pretends to be a good girl on the surface while actually being rather not. Shinobu actually is a good girl from top to bottom; she just wants the weirdness to stop already.
So while she was sniffing the flowers, half of her attention fell upon Ran while she ate some of the chocolate that Shinobu had given her. And what she saw…
Ran was a pretty girl. Very innocent, demure. Almost too cute to be real. But now? It was as if her femininity was turned up to eleven. So far as Shinobu could tell, nothing about Ran had changed, physically. It was as if she had some sort of aura projected around her that made her seem like the exact defined form of her gender. And when she popped another piece of chocolate in her mouth, the effect seemed to amplify.
“Are you feeling alright?” Shinobu asked out of genuine concern. Ran appeared taken aback by the question, which seemed rather unusual under these conditions.
“Ah, Ran’s alright!” she giggled a little in response. A cutesy little twirl in place, and then smile brightly, like an adorable doll. That was just like Ran, at least from what little interaction Shinobu had with her. Add onto that the effect this chocolate-induced aura was having… “What about you? Are you feeling alright?”
“Never better,” Shinobu replied. “Thank you for sharing the flower. It smells like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. Simply amazing.”
“Thank you for giving them to me!” Ran beamed, then mimed a look at her wrist for a watch that wasn’t there. “Oh gosh, is that the time? I really have to get going. Bye bye, Miss Shinobu! See you around!”
“Goodbye, Miss Ran. I hope we see more of each other in future.”
And so they parted amicably, with Shinobu’s mind all a whirl. It was strange. She felt like she should have said something, but somehow Ran had remained completely oblivious. She looked at the chocolates with renewed suspicion. Didn’t Ryu say these were given to her as Valentine’s Day gifts? Where did those girls/boys shop for chocolates? She had half a mind to chuck them before they did any more damage!
Except.
Now, not many words are as powerful as “except”. You’ve got your “unless”, your “however” and even your “but”. She can’t just throw something like this away. Right? It was always Lum and Ataru that got the freaky gimmicky supernatural toys. Why not let her play around for once? Now, she might consider this a little bit… Out of character, shall we say. And it would be. Normally she really would just toss this chocolate into the first bin she saw and be done with it. She would not dare consider using it to try to make certain people learn the errors of their ways. She would never consider visiting a certain ex-boyfriend to make him take a piece, just to see how he might react.
Except. Unbeknownst to Shinobu, a certain flower was having its effect upon her even then. After all, red is a colour known to induce passion. Red is an impulsive colour. And now, a girl that isn’t quite so impulsive was going to take some actions that were, perhaps, just a little bit more impulsive than she might normally undertake.

Delivery made, Lum drifted off home with a sleepy yawn on her lips. Strange she was so tired in the middle of the day, but exhaustion had ambushed her on all sides. With the hat’s compulsion no longer having any effect, she saw no reason to avoid forty winks. Which is why she flew in through the window with arms hanging in front of herself, eyes lidded, back arched and a very small smile on her lips. All classic signs of exhaustion. Ahead of her was the gift from Mendo, silly boy, trying to keep it secret as though anyone else could afford something this ostentatious.
Still, she was in too much of an exhausted state of mind to appreciate the fine, ornate carvings or the intricacies of the design. All she wanted was a place to sleep, so she opened the door-
And beheld the sight of herself, completely naked, on her knees while an equally naked Ataru hugged her from behind. The two of them making intense thrusting moves and satisfied grunts and whimpers. His hands trailing a path around her stomach, up and around her breasts while his lips pressed firmly against her neck. Their bodies glistened with sweat. Their hair matted down from exertion. Their mutual pleasure and desire radiating from them so evidently only a fool could miss it.
Needless to say, Lum was quite awake all of a sudden. The door hastily closed, she leaned against it in shock. Lum blushed quite thoroughly from head to toe, making sure not a single spot on her body was anything less than bright, bright crimson. It gave her something to do while processing what she just witnessed.
“Wh-what was that?” she asked aloud. No answer was forthcoming, not even a whimper or moan from within the closet, nor a thud or creak from the enthusiastic motion. She opened the door again. Nothing. “Was I imagining things?” she wondered. “Tcha, I must be more tired than I thought.”
That said, better to be safe than sorry. She crawled inside and inspected the interior. Nothing. No added technology, and the wood seemed perfectly normal so far as she could tell. Nothing out of place or weird unless you counted that bit of blurry - A yawn hit her hard enough to almost send her to sleep on the spot. Oh, so it wasn’t the wood that was blurry, just her vision?
“I guess it really was my imagination,” Lum yawned. Her head descended as if being pulled down by an invisible thread. “Maybe I really should get some sleep. It can’t be good if I’m hallucinating like that.”
And so, just like that Lum fell asleep within her gift. Sawing logs, discharging a little electricity. Peaceful. Able to sleep through pretty much anything. Like, for example, elements of her dreams beginning to manifest in the wardrobe next to her….

How opposed to commitment was Ataru Moroboshi? Ask him to come up with a long-term plan, and he’d run for his life. His furthest thought was within arm’s reach, because he didn’t much care for the idea of it running out of sight where he couldn’t see it.
So what’s the point of that? Well. He’s just discovered he has access to a magical artefact that can be used to have incredible effects upon women. His imagination ran rampant pretty much immediately. The things he could do with this much power… But as is the case with so many that suddenly find themselves with such huge amounts of power in their grasp, he found himself concerned about the very first step he should take. Sakura, perhaps? Shinobu? God help him, Lum might be a bit of fun…
But as has been made quite clear by now, this was a rather impulsive boy with great power thrust upon him. Planning things out? Nope. Not his thing. Which is why when he saw a cute girl he knew, he immediately set about writing her name in his new magic book, watched the information fill right on in, and then smiled in delight while replacing words on a certain line.
Mood: Horny.
The girl stopped and shuddered, fanning herself with her hand. A little flustered, are we? Try this on for size!
Mood: Horny for Ataru.
Which was immediately followed by the girl slapping herself hard across the face. Interesting. Now let’s try this on for size…
Address: Ataru’s bedroom.
“Oh, hello there!” he called out to the girl. “Yoohoo, it’s me Ataru! It’s good to see you again -”
- Ryunosuke
- Asuka
- Benten
- Ryoko
- Someone else
Looking forward from this, I'd say that Ryunosuke and Benten would make the most sense behavior wise, plus they'd be easy to justify a sudden change of address - Ryu because of the store being demolished and asking Ataru's mother to put her up, Benten because some moronic thing the Spice girls did is forcing her to shack up with Lum while she has her place repaired and or fumigated.
