Well that was a weird encounter! To think Kodachi had that sort of rival. If Akane was being honest, she'd kind of thought that Kuno was an anomaly, but the more she was learning, the weirder her neighbourhood was turning out to be. Was it always this way? Surely not. Surely she would have noticed it before, right?
Which also made her wonder if there were other things out there, like the Spring of Drowned Boy that had been underneath the girl's locker room, which had as yet gone undiscovered. The thought chilled her to the bone. It's something she should look into when she has some room to breathe.
As for Ranma, the second that cutie was inside her father was already on her ass for training. Akane sighed wistfully, a touch envious that Ranma's father took martial arts seriously even when she was a girl. To get even half that attention from her old man took a dose of cold water and some annoying bits hanging between her legs. Oh well. She watched them get on with it for a few seconds to see if she could pick up anything from their impromptu spar, and then -
"Ranma, you've been slacking off!"
"Like heck I have! Eat dirt, old man!"
Ah... on second thought, maybe she'd be better off going inside? Akane sighed wearily, and then strolled on in to get herself some water. She was still in her boy form, after all, and so -
"Oh, Akari?" Akane said, looking in mild surprise at her friend sitting there with a little black pig sitting in her lap. It looked... how to describe it? Extremely happy, comfortable, and content. As if it had just had the best day ever and was taking the time to rest and relax. "You missed school today. Is everything okay?"
"Everything is fiiiii~ine!" Akari said, then giggled and petted that black pig of hers.
"Is that a new one?" Akane asked. "I've not seen it before. It looks a little small for sumo right now though, huh?"
"Oh, don't you worry about this little guy," Akari chirped, stroking it with great affection. "He's a vigorous and energetic little piggy wiggy, aren't you? Yes you are, yes you a~are!"
For some, this might have seemed like odd behaviour from the young girl, but for Akane it really wasn't. Akari was into pigs. Not like that, but more like, you know, a big fan of pigs. Her family raised them to be sumo wrestlers, and she thought they were the cutest thing. So this wasn't actually all that weird for her, and it rushed off Akane's back without a second thought.
"So, last I saw you, this morning, you were after that guy trying to pick a fight with Ranma," Akane said.
"Oh, you mean my boyfriend, Ryoga Hibiki?" Akari asked. The little pig's ears wiggled. "Oh, sweetie. Not only was I after him, I caught up with him. We had a long, long, long chat about our futures, and then -"
Akari looked around and beckoned for Akane to come closer. "I took some inspiration from some of those fantasies you were having about Ranma. We got to know each other very well." She backed off, laughed into the back of her hand while Akane felt her cheeks growing more and more red with each passing moment. Ah. Ah! Ah! Akari just told her she screwed some guy she met today! Now she was picking up that little black pig, pushing its snout up against her nose and giving it an eskimo kiss! "Isn't that right, my special little guy?" she asked. The pig nodded. Again, not too strange, the pigs Akari had a hand in rearing all seemed to have near human intelligence. "Yes, that's right! Ryoga's my boyfriend! Yes he is, yes he is!"
Again, this would be a red flag for someone else, but not Akari Unryu. As it stood, Akane was mentally separating the two things in her mind. She'd got laid and she'd found a new pig to keep as a pet, these were two completely separate thing that happened to Akari today, and honestly it was hard to tell which would have made her more excited.
"Isn't that a bit too quick?" Akane asked, unable to look Akari in the eyes.
"Um, Akane, if you and Ranma were trapped naked together on the day you met, what would happen?"
Akane asked by crossing her legs. Stupid easily aroused boy form! Note that she hadn't even specified which form they'd be in! It could go either way, and something would still probably happen! Thankfully, Kasumi came along with some hot water to help turn Akane back to normal, not gonna think about how she almost certainly heard that little hypothetical there.
"Not the point!" Akane said. "That's a made up scenario, the two of you probably weren't trapped together someplace!" She stopped for a beat. "You weren't trapped somewhere, were you?"
"Only my bed back at the farm," Akari wiggled her eyebrows. Oh lord. They were all perverts. She'd thought it was the curse, but maybe it was something in the water? Everyone around her were a completely irredeemable pervert! "Listen, Akane, enough about that. Here's the part you'll want to hear. Ryoga and I are going to date until graduation, then if we're both still happy with the relationship, we're getting married, taking over the farm, and then having a lot of little piggies running around."
The black pig nodded in agreement to this plan. She even had her pigs on board. Oh boy. How much weirder could this get?
"Hey Akari!" Ranma chirped happily, strolling in and giving a nice big wave to her. "Uh, I don't think Mister Tendo is running a class today, and - Huh, that's a pretty stupid looking pig you got there, is it okay in the head?"
"Grrrrr!" the pig growled menacingly at Ranma. Which prompted Akari to gently nudge it, then nod to the nearby door. The pig climbed off her lap, then stalked over there while keeping a close eye on Ranma. Then it ducked out of sight. Weird. What was that all about?
"By the way, has Akane shown you around town yet?" Akari asked. "I thought she was going to do that yesterday, but then you guys got pulled into that baseball nonsense. Soooo~"
"Huh! Good point!" Ranma said. "So, how about it? You gonna take me around town or what?"
That sounded like a date. Which made Akane twitch, as her lust battled her pride. "S-Sure, I guess I did promise that," Akane said. "But, we'll both be in boy form at the time, okay?! After all, people might think we're on a date."
"It wouldn't be a date though," Ranma replied. Then shrugged. "Whatever. You do you."
Just then, who should stroll in but Ryoga himself. The lucky boy who got to spend the day porking Akari. Ohhhh, she was going to hell for that pun wasn't she? He had a mean face on, and when Ranma saw him she went right into a defensive posture.
"Ranma Saotome, because of you -" Ryoga began, but Akari cleared her throat. "Because of you, I must issue a formal martial arts challenge instead of jumping you in the street like the dog that you- " More throat clearing. "Ahem! My girlfriend will ensure that I am on time."
"And?" Akari pointedly asked.
"And as the challenged, you may state the time and place, within reason," Ryoga finished. Akari beamed up at him, then patted the floor next to him. When he sat down she immediately moved to his lap like she belonged there.
"Uh, let's see," Ranma rolled on her heels. "I got that baseball game tomorrow, then I gotta go on that double date with Kodachi and Asuka -"
"Asuka?" Akari interrupted. "Asuka Saginomiya? As in, Kodachi Kuno's hated rival, the white rose?"
"Oof, let's skip town that day," Ryoga grumbled. "Those two being around each other is nothing but bad news."
Akane boggled at her now. "Does everyone in this stupid town know every weirdo but me?! How the hell is that apparently common knowledge all of a sudden?!"
"Then after that, Akane and I are going on a date to fulfil the conditions of a bet..." Ranma continued. Right. Because no matter the outcome of that game, the two of them were going on a -
... They got played didn't they? Ohhh, but those two were getting an earful tomorrow! Mark her words!
"So I guess the day after that I should be in the clear?" Ranma said. "That cool with you, lost boy? We can fight in the training hall -"
"Ahem!" Nabiki coughed, leaning into the room and pointing up at the roof. "Repairs are on a break it, bought it mentality around here, Saotome!"
"We can fight on the track and sports field at Furinkan High," Ranma quickly course corrected. "Sound good?"
"Sounds great," Ryoga said. "You'll rue the day, Ranma Saotome! Rue the day that you-"
"Ahem!" Akari slipped off Ryoga's lap. "Come along, dear. Back to the farm. We need to discuss your sleeping arrangements. You two have fun on your first not-date!"
Right. Okay then. Great. So. Akane had that to look forward to as well. Okay then! Fine! Might as well get this over with then!
