Discussion: Sailor Succubi

One of two winners for the week celebrating the year the blog has been up will be Sailor Succubi!

So I was thinking it might be interesting to go with the "seems to make it better" option, except... She's accidentally used her dream powers on herself to make it appear as though things are better when the dream is actually luring her into accepting the transformation.

Of course, how it's going about doing this is not quite set in stone yet and I'm taking suggestions on it. What do you think?

Edit: Or here's another idea. It does sort of purify the senshi, but also creates succubus duplicates of them to act as antagonists.

  1. I say vote for number 1 Usagi and the corruption.

  2. Well, here’s the thing. Loath as I am to put them back to normal already, other authors have rendered some of the girls non-functioning as characters (i.e. Rei). So *something* needs to be done. Perhaps some sort of middle ground is possible? Lessening the demonic influence but not fully removing it? Or going in the opposite direction, would they become more stable overall if they each possessed the full spectrum of succubus traits? Or maybe some other solution is possible beyond just making evil twin succubi?

    1. Making them proper succubi instead of embodiment of one trait could work.

  3. Yeah, not sure what Ami's power is, but at the moment it seems:

Ami's sort of lost her character. And not clearly having any power?
Rei's down and out to a not fun level. She's less a succubus than just an unthinking slut.
Minako is sort of fun where she is?

Giving them all more control, even as they go more along with it seems a fun direction, the dream magic making it hard to see something is wrong?

  4. Okay, I think I have something good here. They're all separated in the dream, and then wind up being seduced by the different aspects of their powers.

Usagi: Enticed by the idea she could use her powers for tremendous good

Ami: While studying biology and psychology, finds the subject far more interesting than originally imagined.

Rei: This requires a little explanation. This story will be working off the theory that the reason she's so mindless is that she's actively trying to fight off the fire instead of learning how to control it. In the dream, she learns this while having to get rid of a particularly nasty spirit that keeps overcoming her and escaping.

I don't have anything for the other two yet. What do you think? Good direction? The episode could end with all five waking up with greater control over themselves, basically being succubi with the same personalities they normally have and being okay with it.

  5. Other two:

Minako: Loves the idea she can reshape herself to meet the desires of any unattached boy. Combined with the fact she's Sailor Venus, the Senshi most associated with the aspect of Love...

Makoto: Loves the idea she can make boys (and maybe girls) desire her, instead of being intimidated by her...
