Story: RCM Great Hero's Descendant

Everyone knows that Elves are beautiful. It's the glamour that does it. Their distrust of the world outside is well earned, as a direct result of that glamour. You see, there was a time when Elves would simply feast on the emotions of others, use their charms to their own advantage, and manipulate the other races to their own amusement.

Then, as a race, they grew up. Matured. Grew above such petty concerns... and yet the glamour remained. Outside of their control. Thus, it was a frequent event for a stray Elf to find themselves spontaneously flirted with, kidnapped, or pushed into a rather... unsavoury relationship. It wasn't as bad as it used to be, mind you, but such distrust naturally remains. Especially as Elves themselves only ever try to breed when they are ready for it. When they want to produce offspring, and only then, do they feel a rising, bubbling lust.

Whatever the case may be, Harmonie had been hit by the Breeding Bug pretty badly. Thus, she watched with due care as the new hero and his party were led through the Elven village. They were guided past the push block puzzles that littered the village, offered food and drink from the treasure chests, all under her watchful eye.

Now. One might expect that her attention would be solely upon this new hero. However, that was not the case. Instead, she was staring at his entourage. Pretty girls, all of them. A powerful beauty in full plate. A cheeky glasses wearing girl wearing a wide brimmed hat. Some bitch in a loincloth and not a whole lot else. And a bright angelic face hidden within a white hooded cloak... though when she looked in that one's eyes, she felt a twinge of fear.

So these were his bodyguards, huh? Well now... Obviously, she'd win out over all of them, but... the competition might be a bit fiercer than she was expecting. Hrmph! She sat upon her throne, crossing her legs and leaning back, peering down her nose at them as they entered the room. The sword on his back was unmistakable. She'd seen it countless times in her grandmother's stories. That famous sword! The Star Blade!

"You are the descendant of the great hero Joint," Harmonie said, keeping her tone slow to make sure she didn't do anything to humiliate herself. "I shall introduce myself to start with. I am Harmonie. Your ancestor journeyed with mine to save the world. It is for this reason alone that you have been spared the usual fate that befalls those who wander into our forests carelessly."

"Uh, hi there!" he charmingly said. Oooh, even the tone of his voice was sending ripples down her spine. It was all she could do to sit still. "I'm Percival! N-Nice to meet you!"

Oh hell, he was going to get them all killed. Look at how angry she was. Those steaming, glowering eyes focused entirely on him! She must be livid that she's having to make an exception, or perhaps disappointed that he's not up to the standards they were expecting of the modern era's great hero.

It didn't help seeing how paranoid the Elves were. Opening doors via switches only? Having all their food and drink stored in treasure chests? The seemingly endless block puzzles all over the village?! It wasn't enough for them to kill trespassers on sight, they had to make the place basically impossible for outsiders to get around even if they came in full force!

Helen nudged him. Of course. His bodyguards were staying silent for now, and letting him speak. But only because he was meant to be the leader of this party. Didn't feel like it sometimes. Felt like the others were collectively in charge around here, not him. Even so. He took the sword off his back and held it in his palms. Offering it up to Harmonie so she could see it before he spoke.

"As you can see, this famous blade is - It's not quite what it used to be," Percival said. "For the sake of peace, to - To defeat the evil rising up again, and the new Demon Lord, we require your assistance!"

"Is that so?" Harmonie said, rising from her throne. She really was beautiful, you know? Even if she wasn't actually... wearing much. Ahem. The air seemed to almost glimmer around her, giving her this weird otherworldly feel. Like she was just plain better than you in some ill defined way. "W-well, it's good of you to recognise the need to come to us for help, but what do we get out of it? I mean... It's not like we want to do you a favour for the heck of it."

Guh! This situation was even worse than he thought! She's really, really steamed at him! What should he do in a situation like this?!

Alright, so she couldn't exactly travel with him if she was expecting, which would make this a bit more difficult, but if she could at least get him alone in her chambers she ought to be able to work something out. Ohhhh, if only these other people weren't here right now!

"Perhaps we should discuss terms more privately?" she offered.

"Pardon me," the knight spoke up. "Allowing the hero to travel alone is ill advised at this time."

"That's right," said the witch. "After all, remember the time that a lamia pretended to be a Princess, and tried to seduce Joint?"

... Seduce Joint...? Huh? Harmonie did remember something about a lamia trying to do something with Joint, but the way her grandmother told it, the lamia had been persuaded by Joint's natural charisma to join the party and betray her own kind after a long, intense night of negotiation. Seduction? Is that how humans told it? So ruled by their libido they would twist even that legend into a whole other form!

"Are you accusing me of being a fake?" Harmonie sputtered. "How dare you! I ought to have you clasped in irons for that!"

"Wait, please don't!" Percival protested. "They're only looking out for my safety, as I'm not yet... Good enough to be a true hero."

Harmonie fought down the blush, but that only made her loins ache and quiver all the worse. "W-Well, okay, if you say so..." she muttered to herself, breaking eye contact and puffing out her cheeks. Oooh, this was going to be harder than she thought!

"Please, state plainly whatever it is you wish to say in front of all of us," said the loincloth wearing slut. "On our honour as warriors, we shall not share any of it with anyone. It shall be kept between us!"

Why was the healer snickering to herself? Why was the mage smiling knowingly? Why was the knight's face as still as a statue? It almost seemed as if they were mocking her! Making fun of her! How dare they, how dare they, how dare they! Well, that's fine then! If they wanted to know then she should outright say it here, say it loudly, say it proudly, her intentions to breed with this hero!

Except... That a tsundere cannot do such a thing. That's the trouble Harmonie hadn't realised yet. Even if she had been able to get Percival alone, she'd have been far to tsun-tsun to do anything productive with her situation. She'd have tried to push him into making the first move, getting him to admit to finding her attractive and alluring, little realising that Percival himself lacked the confidence to go for such a thing.

It would lead them to a deadlock. Total and complete standstill. Neither one advancing the conversation in a direction they wanted. Neither having the social skills or acumen to really get the ultimate point of their conversation forward. The fact that the others here would make it even more difficult was barely of consequence, even if they were gone neither of them would be a single foot forward!

"Monster attack!" a guard yelled from outside. "They're flying in from above, bypassing the block puzzles!"

"Impossible!" Harmonie gasped. "The barrier should have at least alerted us! Nothing but Elves may cross it undetected!"

The hero's bodyguards nodded to one another, and rushed for the exit. The knight stopped a moment, picked up a pot in the corner and put it on the switch. Oh! They hadn't thought of that! The ingenuity of mankind strikes again! Only then did they leave, and what did they find out there?

Winged beings flitting around, with sharp teeth, fairy wings, and... enormous boobs. Like, stupidly large breasts that made Harmonie feel completely inadequate. Which said quite a bit, given her own bust size! Slim waists, large round rumps, and bewitching eyes.

"Hey there big boy, wanna breed?" one of the creatures asked a young elf, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Eh...? Wh-What? Why do I feel so - " the young elf replied, then grabbed the creature's head and kissed her deeply. His eyes began to glow red in the process, and then he was picked up, carried off without a care.

"Those are... succubi?" the mage lifted an eyebrow.

"Ew, yuck!" the loincloth wearing whore spat. "Serves 'em right, buncha perverts..."

"No, those aren't succubus," Harmonie frowned. "They have nymph wings. They're fae folk... Wait, don't tell me!"

"Half breeds," the healer sighed. "I see. A breeding of Forest Nymphs and succubus. Probably fathered by an incubus of some renown. How deviantly ingenious."

"They're kidnapping my people!" Harmonie protested. "Hey! Cut that out! Why are they all so- So?!"

"Because your kind is attuned to nature," the knight said. "On a subconscious level, you are all aware of the dangers posed by the return of the Demon King... and so your kind is likely starting to feel their instincts awaken. The desire to repopulate to help deal with a coming disaster. Now. We must find the Succubus in charge of this nest of succunymphs -"

"I prefer nyncubus myself," the mage interrupted. "But yes, you're quite right. We must find the head Succubus. They must have a nest somewhere in the forest. Will you help us root them out, Miss Harmonie?"

Help them? What choice did she have?! As much as her loins ached for a chance to be with that... dashing, handsome hero who was exactly her type, the absolute best thing to do at a time like this was look forward, and march on!
