So Curvy Akane got a few updates after my recent post. Interesting! Let's talk about where that should go.
And Rivals as well, of course.
I would rather like Akane to try to actively rebel against the curse at every opportunity she can grab hold of, because it's simply not her to give in that easily. I'm imagining a moment where a completely stunned Ranma proclaims that he loves her, prompting Akane to flick him on the forehead to snap him out of it. Anyway, the episode will need to deal with the further changes that have happened during the night and how they've made Akane even sexier than she already was.
As for Rivals, it might be a good idea to have the Sailors meet their counterparts in civilian guise so that they can immediately form an intense dislike. Or possibly deal with the effects that the two leaders had on one another during that encounter. Any other further ideas that you may have, feel free to post them.
For Curvy akane, I was thinking of something in a different direction regarding the identity of the "slutty Akane" but may be still usable in thread.
ReplyDeleteFirst, why the push by the "slutty Akane" to give in? In simple terms, so that Akane won't try to undo the transformation. It could be that there is a window of time that the transformation can still be reversed or overwritten, and after that window, the transformation either becomes permanent, becomes more difficult to overcome, or requires a lot of power to reverse. Akane "playing" with her self or having sex may even speed things up or immediately fully completes the transformation.
Of course, that means whoever transformed Akane didn't alter her personality/mind so she wouldn't rebel at her current condition. Either this person figured she would be happy with her new figure eventually, isn't able to use any form of mind manipulation, or isn't in to mind manipulation at all.
Maybe in a twist, the person responsible for Akane's curse isn't after her, but rather is using Akane in a bigger plot. Perhaps Akane's just the magical equivalent "Patient Zero", where she infects other girls around her, and those girls infect others, and so on. Maybe the person is trying get other girls jealous of Akane's figure, and then said person swoops in and tells them how those girls can look better than Akane... for a price. Or maybe Akane's supernatural good looks would eventually cause men to really fight each other over her, or in general cause conflict.
Hm. Those concepts are fairly solid and well thought out, though not all of them are quite clicking for me. Or at least not the ideas of it spreading and/or being designed to cause conflict. These things almost always spread in such stories, which usually leads to endless escalation rather than a coherent plot. As for it being meant to cause conflict, it not only casts her condition as a true curse… That also makes it pretty much a given that she’ll have to return to normal eventually.
DeleteWell, just throwing out ideas. Didn't say they were the best ones.
DeleteI kinda thought the last so was getting too overt in a sense. Hard to go into detail on why though. I like Alan's rebelling but also relying more on ranma as someone at least trying to help.
ReplyDeleteI would go with the nabiki line and have her be sexier without realizing she's acting worse without it pointed out, except maybe her voice. Missing subtle stuff for just one change. Also her having a vague memory of dream Akane to rebel against without really remembering any detail. Hope her clothes and room get changed more slowly so others point it out by asking rather than a fierce quick swap she would pick up.
Hope she is fighting a losing battle. Of course :)
Alan ==Akane stupid autocorrect.
