Story: Love Pendant Usagi: Mysterious Masked Hero

This just seemed like an extremely Usagi thing to do, so... I went with it.

Emotions can be a funny thing, and Mamoru was learning that in particular at the moment. His life was a little bit peculiar just now to say the very least. His memories were as reliable as a damp tissue, and his dreams made as much sense as a drunken goat, though they seemed at least to have some consistency to them. A kingdom on the moon. A blonde-haired goddess that sent his heart soaring. An overpowering sense of justice marked by a snappy dark suit and a mask that covered damn near nothing of his face. He had devoted every resource at his disposal into finding out what these dreams could mean. He had studied psychology. He had studied arcana and mysticism, religion. Nothing had come from all of that searching, and the longer he spent without an answer the more it ate him alive from the inside out.

Yet here he was on his way to a date. He had been looking into the things he’d been dreaming about every night in the hope that he could make sense of it all before it consumed him from the inside out. Nope! No time for that, have to go on a date. It was irrational. It was a waste of time. On an intelligent level he was aware of that and yet he couldn’t bring himself to simply turn around, walk away and get back to working on the mystery that was his own mind. Why? What was so special about this girl? He barely knew her. So why couldn’t he turn away? Why was he so intent on going on this date that he -

“Here, kitty kitty!” called a voice that spoke to his very soul, made the overcast sky above seem as the brightest summer noon, made his heart grow bolder and his loins more adventurous. “Let Usagi get… You… Out of this tree… Got you! Eep!”

The next thing Mamoru knew, he was holding a blonde-haired goddess, who was in turn clutching a cat to her chest. At that moment in time, Mamoru would have given just about anything to be in that cat’s place.

“Oh,” Usagi said, her beautiful face slightly flush. She leaned up to press her lips against his, and the cat leaped from her arms to run off to who cares this was heavenly. Everything about her seemed to be a quality he could observe for hours and never get bored. Her scent. Her hair. Her eyes. The softness of her lips, the warmth of her body. Everything. “Ready for the date?”

“Are you?” Mamoru responded, gently but regretfully placing her back on the ground. “You have a twig in your hair and there are leaves stuck to your clothes.” And now he could really look her over, he could see what she’d elected to wear for the date. A simple skirt and blouse combination that looked cute on her, but then again she could have shown up in a dress made from a garbage bag and still been radiant. “So, my princess!” he said with a bow that he hoped would be taken as amusing, “Where would you like me to take you this fine, enchanted evening?”

He raised his head, and found that Usagi wasn’t there. Instead, she had run off to the other side of the street to help an old woman across the road, and for some reason was wearing the same kind of ridiculous not-covering-a-damn-thing mask as from his dreams. Mamoru stared in disbelief, especially once they reached the pavement: Usagi proudly put her hands on her hips and flashed the V sign with her hand.

“Another blinding victory for the mysterious masked Usagi!” she yelled, drawing a few strange looks from pretty much everyone in earshot. “Hark! Look over there! A distraction!” she yelled, pointing in three directions at once - The last with her foot - Then she ducked behind a bush yanked off the mask and tried to slide in next to Mamoru as if nobody could see her.

“Wow,” Usagi sighed, fidgeting slightly. A glimmer of something odd that he couldn’t place flashed through her eyes, and suddenly the two of them were lip locked again with even more intensity, even more passion than before. Her body couldn’t have gotten closer to his without fusing at the molecular level, clothes and all. He could feel her nipples poking him through her blouse, and she must surely be able to feel his own arousal in turn. Curiously, he felt no shame in that as he could tell that she was every bit as turned on as he was, if not somehow more so.

“I wonder what that girl’s deal was,” Usagi breathed once they’d finally had to come up for air. “Such a mysterious and pretty vigilante, wouldn’t you say?”

“Sure,” Mamoru replied, not particularly caring about that oddity. “Now, let’s get back to that date. Unless you’d prefer to find somewhere a little more… Private?”

<hr>
So what’s a girl to do when she has absolute power at her fingertips and her friend is too busy with her date? This was proving to be a harder question to answer than she’d expected. It seemed as though Usagi was getting all of the fun lately. A hot date, a secret identity, her own set of superpowers. Not so much got anything for Naru, now do we?

How did she do it? What was the deal with this “Sailor Moon” thing anyway? Did it have something to do with the pendant? She’d used it in that attack and everything, so there had to be a connection. Right?

Ugh, screw it! Maybe instead, she should be looking into getting a boyfriend. Shame there wasn’t any worthwhile dating material around school, and as for Motoki it turned out he was spoken for already. So there really hadn’t been much else for it except -

… Was that someone lying on the ground over there? Oh, no! Naru rushed towards her, dispelling her selfish thinking in a moment: Still breathing. Alright. That was a good sign, probably? She wasn’t trained in first aid! What should she do?

“Excuse me!” Naru whimpered. “Wake up! Please, wake up! What’s wrong? What’s happened?”

“She’s another victim,” said a familiar voice. Naru turned around, and looked up into the sorrowful eyes of her mother’s new assistant, Miss Morga. “It’s that flower that does it - Wait, don’t pick it  up!”

Naru stared at the odd flower gripped between her fingers. It felt weird. Tingly to the touch. Strange. It almost felt like it was trying to do something to her, but how could a flower do that? She tried to take a closer look. Maybe if she could see what was bothering her about it, she could work out what Miss Morga meant by - But it was slapped out of her hand and sent to the floor in an instant.

“Hey!” Naru yelled, rising to her feet. “What was that for?”

“That flower drains your energy away!” Morga yelled, trampling on the flower as if it had run over her puppy. “It’s evil! It must be destroyed, and I need to find Sailor Moon so that she can put a stop to this!”

“Oh,” Naru blinked in confusion. She shook her head when an inexplicably fun idea sort of crept into her head. “You don’t say. I’m sure you’d simply love to tell me all about it, now won’t you? Once we’ve called an ambulance for this woman, I mean.”

Her mind was already racing over what this could mean. Was it another monster like the one that attacked her? How did Miss Morga know about it? Could she maybe use the pendant to resolve the situation without Sailor Moon’s help, without disrupting Usagi’s date? It was a simple matter heading to a nearby house to ask them to call for assistance, and yet she couldn’t help but think about this same issue running through her head again and again. She regarded the assistant again with a more critical eye. Very pretty. Great body. Very nice and bouncy breasts underneath her shirt, and that long skirt was probably hiding some lovely legs as well.

Unnoticed by Naru, the pendant she was carrying had begun to sparkle with dark-tinged bursts of energy. Bursts which, by sheer coincidence, happened to occur at the same moments and with the same intensity that she thought lustful thoughts towards Morga.

  1. Usagi and Mamoru’s date continues, with Usagi periodically helping people as a badly disguised masked hero. Curiously, this turns Mamoru on quite a lot.
  2. Usagi and Mamoru’s date gets interrupted by something that prompts them both to transform.
  3. Naru heads off on her own to deal with the Love Line youma.
  4. Naru decides to have fun with Miss Morga before doing anything else.
  5. Something else

  1. Huh, can comments work?

Anyhow, liked the Usagi segment, and some of the Naru one. Just curious what's going on with her? Didn't think she was openly lesbian yet.
