ReplyDeleteCode Geass, I think its pretty clear that this way doesn't really work either. Most people just don't bother writing a post to vote. If Anon's agreeing not to manipulate the votes, we only have to worry about the other one who may have moved on. I think its worth retrying the voting because even without the cheating, it was getting at least twice as much activity as this is now.

ReplyDeleteSo people are that much more inclined to click than type a word or two? That’s a bit sad, really, but it seems true enough. Ideally, it could be a clickable poll that isn’t based on the honor system.
Now, another issue is that the poll post gets pushed down the page pretty quickly. If the current poll posts—both the Tainted Cube and thread polls, preferably—could stay at the top for the whole time those polls are active, I think that would boost votes for both at least slightly.
