Alright, let's see if I can get these two written out in a reasonable amount of time this week, instead of waiting until the last minute because I'm too damn tired after work.
Starting with Alien World, which is basically a whole new thread! All we know is the main character's name and the premise. We need to work out the alien world's culture, who the romantic interest is, and how she winds up on this alien world to begin with. Go wild with sci-fi cliches and tropes, guys! It'll make it easier to set up the comedy, and perhaps the sexy too!
Indecent, meanwhile, has an episode or two to work from. Probably about time to switch to an outsider's perspective for a little fun, don't you think?
As always, I would love to hear your thoughts for these winners.
Allright, Alien world . . . For how, possibly have it involve black box technology from a precursor civilisation, and if conflicts are needed later, she could now have a link to it that a lot of locals are interested in. (Plus limiting Mitsuyo Senmatsu's ability to go home creates plenty of storytelling options.) Though of course the story could start In Media after the transportation, with the details being options for her response in some sort of questioning or explaining her situation to someone.
ReplyDeleteFor alien romantic interests, possibly have one very human looking alien, one shapeshifter, maybe refference Futaba-Kun Change with a two gendered alien. And possibly for extra effect feature an AI that gets caught up in the romantic back and forth too.
I like the black box technology from a precursor civilization suggestion. It's a common enough trope, but it makes it easy to explain how she could travel to an alien world with a lower technology level than ours.
ReplyDeleteRoman or Egyptian themed alien worlds seem common, but I think it might be fun to visit a world that's roughly equivalent to our Renaissance.
As far as the love interests are concerned, there should probably be some sort of conflict with a suitor on each side. As a yuri fan, perhaps the aliens can change genders at will? Mitsuyo could find one alien's male form to be dreamy, get off on the wrong foot with its female form, then discover they are one in the same.
