Thread Voting: Active Until 5th August

A new round of votes will commence as of now. As an experiment, I have reset the values for last week's winner to 0, but kept it in the table. This means I don't have to worry about removing and adding it so much as playing with the order.

Story: Fudge Bunnies: A Cheerleader's History

A diversion from here, using option three. I noticed it and decided it was too fun to ignore. Enjoy!

Story: Curvy Akane: The Spar

This is the winner of last week's vote. I apologise for the lateness. I am taking suggestions for possible options, and would like to see some feedback on this update if anyone has anything to add to it or suggestions they would like to make regarding its improvement.

Story: Life, Death and the Storm: It Fell From the Stars

Time for something a little bit different. This is a first draft that I'm intending to put on fanfiction.net rather than the BEA, because it's the first chapter of a complete story that I've already mostly got figured out in my head. It is (as the tag will indicate) an NGE and Doctor Who crossover piece, making use of something from Doctor Who that has to my tremendous shock and surprise not been used in any fanfiction piece on fanfiction.net. If that is wrong, please provide me with a link because I'd love to read that.

I have provided a link at the bottom so you can see the thing in question. It would probably go into an author's note on the site.

As it is a first draft, please point out all the myriad ways this can be improved upon. My own critical gaze is a little skewered on that regard having written it.

Story: Konatsu's New Technique: A favour to ask

This is the winner of the previous week's round of voting. This was a thread whose popularity has surprised me quite a lot. I hope you enjoy this installment! If you have any suggestions for improving it, please make them in the comments. If there are no problems with it, I shall post this update on saturday.

Thread Voting: Thread Active Until 22nd July

Another week, another voting thread! I have decided to stick to the one vote a week rule as opposed to last week's suggested once a day.

The current vote tally stands as follows :

Thursday, 12 July 2012

Story: Akane's Identity Crisis

After seeing this, I started to think about the idea. It was pretty interesting on the surface, but I did have a few problems with it. There is potential, but it needs fixing. So... I knocked out the below in maybe an hour and a half. Enjoy! If anyone has suggestions for improvement, I am all ears.

Story: You Bet!

Here's a thread I've been meaning to update for a while. If there's anything in it that doesn't make sense, please let me know.

 Thread continues from here.

Story: The Forbidden Fruit 2

First part is here.

Please do suggest improvements. I'm unsure of whether to put this on the BEA, or simply keep it as a seperate work, and would like to hear some opinions on that.

Story: Ranmasexual; Engagement of Lust

Here is the winner of last week's vote, written up much quicker than I had anticipated. I hope you enjoy. For now I think it will hew a bit close to (manga) canon, but the major diversions from that path will begin with the next update from this thread.

Thread continues from this point.

Thread Voting: Thread Active Until 15th July

Welcome to this week's voting thread! Last week went better than I had expected for the first week, and the winner -Ranmasexual - will be posted later on. For now, the second round of votes will begin! As per the rules, Ranmasexual's vote tally is reset to zero while all others carry theirs from the previous week.

To make things livelier for coming weeks, I am considering allowing participants to place a vote once a day rather than once a week, with the winner at the end of the week being written. Unless objections are raised during this week, I shall implement that rule change as of NEXT week.

Thank you for participating.

Present rankings stand as follows.

Story: Perverts in Denial: The Lost Years

And now for a Ranma piece. This would be a new thread that would begin from this restart, in particular the fourth option. Please enjoy!

Story: Splitting Headache/Personality

Here is the second of the two ideas, and the second Neon Genesis Evangelion work I've ever worked on. There may be others later. It may not surprise anyone that's remotely familiar with the series if they were to learn that it has tickled my muse a bit.

Story: The Forbidden Fruit

So I recently saw Neon Genesis Evangelion for the first time. This naturally led me into checking out various pieces of fanfiction in an attempt to gain a better sense of closure than the series canon gave me, which is also sort of the same reason I got into Ranma 1/2 fanfiction. I rapidly noticed that the most common kind of NGE fanfiction that exists is the Peggy Sue fic type - named such on tvtropes after the movie Peggy Sue got married - in which a character goes back into their own past selves and tries to fix everything that went wrong for them.

But then I had two rather original takes on that subject. The first is below. I am debating whether to put it on the BEA or load it elsewhere as a work all to my own.

Thread Voting: Thread Active Until 8th July

Welcome to the first voting thread! Please see the rules as described here, and vote for any of my threads that you wish to see me continue. In the event of a fate split that I created interesting you, tell me which of the available options you want to see me work on and I'll consider it.

When I have written up the winner, I intend to post it on this blog. Whenever a vote is made this post will be ammended to reflect the current standings. Please do not feel restricted to your votes, as I would also like to encourage discussions on the direction you would like to see threads proceed or on the current direction that they have gone.

Thank you for participating.
