A pair of Urusei stories this week, it seems. Going for theme weeks, are we? Alright, I don't have a problem with that.
Dream Jumper: I think a good way to progress here is to have Shinobu remember odd little snippets of her dream as she goes about her day. This leads to two questions: What exactly happens in her dream, and what exactly is happening in the wide awake world? I somehow doubt that Ataru just made fun of Mendo throughout the entire dream.
Sexy Secret Santa: I think I'd like to see who Lum gave her gift to, but it might also be pretty fun to have Ataru and Mendo discover what their gifts are capable of.
As far as Dream Jumper goes, I'm not quite sure what sort of dreams Shinobu had, or what sort of opportunities Ataru was able to seize in them. As far as the waking world goes, all I can envision is Sakura being a bit wired from drinking a bit too much coffee and Ran droping by Lum sometime to ask "So how's you're sex life?"
ReplyDeleteAs for SSS, outside of Ataru's experimentation with his gift, I think it would make sense for him to write Lum's name down- if only for a few scenes during the date Ataru checks up on her in his book.
As far as Mendo, the idea I had in mind for his bit moving forward would feature him going to Sakura's house, deciding to 'test' out his spyglass again- discovering that it can also see through walls. At least he can see through walls when Sakura's doing Yoga on the other side of the wall. Part of the reason I went with the spyglass for Mendo is because in the Manga the time Princess Kurama thought he'd gotten in wake up kiss #2 (It was actually ataru again), She actually tried taking him into a little portable bedchamber to get the whole mating thing done, and Mendo went from his usual "Ah the burdens of being as wanted as me" thing to being actually rather scared of the while prospect.
"So how's you're sex life?"
ReplyDeleteAUGH! Please, for the love of all that's holy, not a UY/The Room crossover! :D
Ah, sorry for the phrasing (Not suggesting a room crossover but the refference was too good not to make). What I was pointing out was that in Ran's portion of the story, she's found herself confronting the fact that her relationsship with Rei has been completely lacking in raw animal passion in any form save for Rei's passion for eating. However this revelation has risen thanks to her dreams of Ataru, and she's probably now going to be wondering just how much of the raw passion there might be in Lum's relationship with Ataru, since she knows what Lum programmed into her dream, but she also know's that Ataru is Ataru. So she probably would want to do some investigation into Lum and Ataru's relationship.
