Neji stepped onto the cobblestone street of Konoha, and the world felt far too bright, too loud, and far, far too vivid. A strange, humming warmth radiated from the base of his spine, pulsing in time with his heartbeat, which was going a bit faster than normal. It felt like he was floating rather than walking, his muscles felt like melted wax, yet there was a coiled tension in his gut that refused to settle down.
Beside him, Hanabi practically bounced along the street, her hips swaying with a rhythmic, uninhibited freedom that would have made their father recoil in horror. She looked back at him, her eyes shimmering with a glazed, predatory sort of mischief.
"So," she chirped, her voice carrying a melodic, breathy quality. "Did you like that, big brother? I told you, didn't I?"
Neji cleared his throat, trying to reclaim his usual composure. He adjusted the collar of his shirt, but the fabric felt abrasive against his skin. Every sensation was magnified.
"I feel... relaxed," Neji replied. His voice sounded distant to his own ears, stripped of its usual sharp edge. "Though the technique they used was unconventional. I've never experienced such a profound release of tension in the shoulder girdle."
Hanabi giggled, a sound that lacked her usual childhood innocence and replaced it with something more knowing. She leaned in, her shoulder brushing his.
"Oh, stop acting like a textbook. You're practically vibrating. I can see it in the way you're walking. You're not thinking about your shoulder girdle, Neji, now are you?"
Neji stiffened. "I don't know what you're implying."
"The blonde," Hanabi whispered, a sly grin spreading across her face. "The way she looked at you. The way she touched you. Don't tell me you're still pretending that didn't do something to your brain. It is about time you got yourself a girlfriend, you know. You can't be this stoic, stuck up workaholic forever!"
Neji opened his mouth to retort, but a sudden surge of curiosity - or perhaps a lingering command from the masseuse - triggered his instinct. Without conscious thought, his veins bulged around his temples. The Byakugan activated. The world shifted into a monochromatic spectrum of grays and whites, but the chakra networks glowed like neon filaments. Normally, Neji used this sight to dissect an opponent's weaknesses, to find the tenketsu and shut them down. Now, as he scanned the street, the Byakugan did something different.
He didn't see weaknesses. Rather, he saw heat. The rhythmic, heavy pulse of blood rushing to the surfaces of the skin. He saw the undulating curves of women passing by, from which he could easily infer the shapes of their bodies. The sheer volume of sensory data hit him like a physical blow. He saw the thinness of a passing kunoichi's leggings, the way the fabric strained against the swell of a thigh, the heat radiating from the friction of skin on cloth.
His breath hitched. Good gracious, he was becoming aroused.
"Stop it," he muttered, though he didn't deactivate the eyes.
"Stop what?" Hanabi asked, her voice dripping with amusement. She noticed his gaze lingering on a group of girls near a dango shop. "Oh, look at you! The great Neji Hyuga, reduced to a gawking schoolboy. I didn't know you were such a degenerate."
"I am not a degenerate," Neji snapped, though the words lacked conviction. He felt a sudden, sharp ache in his lower abdomen. "I am simply... observing the environment."
"Observing the environment," Hanabi mocked, stepping in front of him and forcing him to stop. She tilted her head, her eyes scanning his face with clinical interest. "You're lying. Your heart rate is spiking. I can hear it. You're wondering what it would be like to actually touch someone, aren't you? Now that you know how it feels when someone touches you the right way."
Neji looked away, his face flushing a deep crimson. "This conversation is inappropriate."
"Since when did we care about appropriate?" Hanabi asked. She looped her arm through his, pulling him closer. "We're new people now, Neji. We've been enlightened. Now, tell me the truth. What's your type? Since you're suddenly so interested in 'observing,' tell me what you're looking for. Quiet and refined? Or something a bit more... explosive?"
Neji tried to focus on the path ahead, but the Byakugan continued to betray him. He saw a woman across the street adjust her bodice, the movement sending a ripple of heat through his vision. He felt a bead of sweat roll down his neck.
"I have no 'type,'" Neji lied.
"Liar," Hanabi sang. "You like the ones who challenge you. The ones who are strong, but who would crumble if you pressed the right buttons. Am I right? You want someone you can dominate, or someone who can make you forget who you are."
"Hanabi, enough."
Neji sighed heavily. The mental haze from the massage was still there, a soft blanket that muffled his willpower. He really should not, must not give into temptation so easily -
"Oh, look! It's Tenten!"
Neji turned. Tenten was walking toward them with a confident, rhythmic stride. She looked the same from a distance, but as she drew closer, Neji's Byakugan screamed as it drew the data in. She was wearing a pair of white yoga pants that clung to her legs and glutes with an aggression that bordered on obscene. The fabric was so tight it looked painted on, highlighting every muscle, every curve of her powerful thighs. But it was what lay beneath that shattered Neji's remaining composure.
The black g-string. Through the white fabric, the dark void of the g-string acted like a frame, pulling the cheeks of her derriere into a sharp, sculpted peak. The Byakugan revealed the way the thin string vanished into her heat, creating a focal point of intense thermal energy. The contrast of the blinding white and the absolute black created a visual strobe effect that made Neji's head spin. Then, Tenten stopped in front of them, a bright, almost too-wide smile on her face. Her pretty, pretty face!
"Hey! Neji! Hanabi!" she exclaimed. Her voice was chirpy, brimming with an energy that felt slightly performative. "What a coincidence! Are you guys just finishing up at the parlor too?"
Neji couldn't speak. His mouth had gone dry. He was staring-blatantly, shamelessly staring-at her hips. He could see the way the fabric of the yoga pants shifted with every breath she took. He could see every pulse in her thighs.
"Something wrong, Neji?" Tenten asked, her tone playful. "You look like you've seen a ghost. Anyway, do you like? It's something new I'm trying~"
Hanabi's eyes darted from Neji's wide-eyed expression to Tenten's provocative attire. A slow, predatory smile crept across her lips. Oho!
"Oh, he loves the outfit, Tenten," Hanabi purred, stepping closer to Neji and leaning her head on his shoulder. "I think Neji is actually speechless. He's never seen anything so... efficient."
Tenten giggled, a sound that felt like it was designed to trigger a specific response in the brain. "Efficient? I just thought they were comfortable for training! I mean, the support is amazing. I feel like I could do a thousand squats and not a single thing would shift out of place."
She demonstrated by slightly bending her knees, the fabric stretching to its absolute limit. Neji felt a jolt of electricity shoot straight to his groin. He forgot how to breathe. He forgot his name. All he could see was the white void and the black line.
"Tenten," Neji managed to choke out. "Your... clothing."
"Do you like it?" Tenten asked, stepping closer. She was in 'spy mode,' convinced she was playing a long game of deception, but her body was broadcasting a different message. She leaned in closer, making sure to properly fill Neji's vision with nothing but her. "I feel so much more... liberated in these. Don't you think?"
Hanabi saw the opportunity. She launched Neji forward. With a sudden, forceful shove to his shoulder blades, she sent him stumbling right into Tenten. Neji's chest collided with hers. His arms instinctively reached out to steady himself, and his hands landed squarely on the flare of her hips. The contact was electric. The fabric of the yoga pants felt slick, almost oily, and the heat beneath was overwhelming. Neji's fingers sank slightly into the firm muscle of her glutes, and he felt a low, guttural groan vibrate in his own throat.
Tenten gasped, her eyes fluttering. She didn't pull away. Instead, she arched her back, pressing her chest into his, her breath hitching in a way that mirrored his own.
"Oops!" Hanabi exclaimed, though she made no move to help. She stepped back, her eyes gleaming. "My hand just slipped! Silly me, how careless. Anyway, I have other places to be, so - Bye bye!"
While Hanabi skipped off, happy and content with her day's work, Neji didn't move. He couldn't. He was anchored by the sensation of Tenten's curves beneath his palms. Furthermore, the Byakugan was still active, showing him the surge of blood rushing to Tenten's core, the way her heart was hammering against her ribs.
"So, uh..." Tenten mused. "I'm thinking that massage parlour is definitely brainwashing people or something, but... Do you wanna head back to my place and fuck?"
"I think we'll need to," Neji said. "I don't see how we're getting anything else done today."
